This social media star picked up a baby wombat in Australia... it appears for her social media videos. She said she was concerned for the wombats. Got her kicked out of Australia... visa revoked. Do you think Americans in general are pricks... jerks... idiots... and fools? Or do you have a generally decent view of Americans?

Most Americans are okay, but some are idiots when in a foreign country. I'm American and was in England several years ago, buying some souvenirs in the Tower of London gift shop. Ahead of me was a rather large Texan, wearing his cowboy hat and boots, buyinga few things for his petite trophy wife. When the cashier rang up his purchase and told him how much it was, in pounds, he annoyingly said, in Texan drawl, "Sweetheat, how much is that in real money?" She didn't know what to say, so I quickly stepped in, did a quick mental calculation of US dollars, and told him, "Sir, pounds is real money. In US dollars it's this." As he walked away, the cashier smiled and thanked me.

I know a lot of Americans other than online. With one exception I've never encountered the stereotype.

Prior to 2016 I had friends who were both sides politically. We all understandbthat not having the same politics doesn't mean we hate each other.

I've not made new American friends since Trump's first term. Apparently now having a different political perspective makes us blood enemies now.

it is more difficult and tense, but I've made new aquitances. you just learn to tread lightly on politics. I dont' think it was since trump, I think was since obama and hwo the republicans tried to shut him down, division started strong there. its worse now.

America is viewed as rich and most people throughout the world are jealous of that. I don't think most the world ever takes the time to understand a disproportionate amount of that wealth is concentrated at the top. Then again the typical American problem is a car payment, mortgage payment, or electricity bill. While another country's might Malaria or worry about getting eaten by a tiger. So some of there anger is a little understandable.😆

Capitalism is nothing other than institutionalized greed. Marks was right when he said that capitalism contains the seeds of its own destruction. Not only does it contain those seeds but is capitalism grows. The seeds grow along with it and ultimately destroy it. This has been seen Time after Time in countries where violent revolutions were the final response to uncontrolled capitalism much as we have in the United States. There's a suicide bridge in osaka for Japanese, more older people. The above is younger people. I've heard (2nd hand) from some in china that it is hard to live. 1. x billion people, that's probably relative. Maybe China has had too much wealth disparity as well?
