Why do they say being Christian and being a billionaire is contradictive?

Even without being religious, most rich people are complete pieces of sh*t, anyway. Especially Western rich people. I'd say that part's accurate.

@Subglacial lots of things, but related to this question - having great wealth isn’t the problem. Our attitude towards our wealth is what can be the problem.

Seems like many people have forgotten about King Solomon and how he got his wealth.

Could have something to do with the words in the bible. Luckily, you can pick and choose the parts of the bible you want to live by and discard the rest, so you can be or do whatever you want and still legitimately call yourself a Christian. Is it a contradiction? Yeah. Maybe. But just one of many.

The bible is very clear that such wealth and pleasures is distractions made by the devil so you can overlook the suffering of others.
So if you believe in the bible ask yourself is it god who made you rich or the devil? because it's pretty clear who controls such temptations if you read the many stories in the bible. Jesus refused to eat is just one example of many.
