You're confused.

So let me bring it down to your level.

One of my best friends is the son of a famous doctor. But he is lazy and entitled, so lives of his father and under his image. While there is little threat he will run out of money in his lifetime, he doesn't understand the value of what he is spending and how little worth he really has as an individual.

We really only keep him around as he's a good laugh from time to time.

Now, what value and worth do you think his son has to the business, medical or technical fields; with his basic education and no motivation to do anything?

If this is him as a person imagine how little worth he has to God. He's just basically a prop.

Similarly in your life, if you want to do big and have a path in the plan of God, then you need to be someone of worth and value. It's not about money, there are plenty of people who have money, but very little direction or value in their lives.

No. I can attest to this after an accident that left me hospitalized. I prayed and prayed and felt like I was getting no answer.

There's an old saying "God's time is perfect". God is ALWAYS listening. But the answer doesn't always come on our timeline or the way we expect it. I got my answer a year later. And it was better than anything I prayed for. I needed to be humbled. And my faith is stronger for it.

Keep the faith! God is always listening. He knows your strength and what you're capable of.

It is entirely obvious that it isn't real.

There is absolutely no evidence what so ever supporting the claims of a God or Gods, none, nothing.

The burden of proof is on the claimant. The claimant is the person making the claim that something exists. The default position, for everything is non belief. e. g. If i were to claim that there was a flying spagetti monster that lives in the sky that should not be believed without evidence and there is no evidence.

So what that means is that all the shit you ever heard or read about it is just bullshit made up by a human.

So stop hurting yourself trying to develop schizophrenia so that you can hear your imaginary friend.

It's that simple.

Whether God (s) do exist or not, for real or in our imagination, is actually not relevant. I like very much what the French writer said: "the beauty of God is his silence". Somehow this reminds me of psychotherapy.

If believing in God helps some people to deal with life, do not destroy their faith.

Perhaps, if you try to do that all by itself. Hearing from God should come along with reading the Bible and praying. Especially if trying to figure out what to do next, you should always start with reading what the Bible says about it.
