Is something good because God determines that it is good, or does God endorse that which is good precisely because it is good in and of itself?

It's the famous Euthyphro Dilemma. For approximately 2,500 years no one has been able to come up with a satisfactory answer to it. Is there anyone here who can answer it satisfactorily? :)
