Why does the bible say father forgive them they know not what they do but then says everyone has pre knowledge of sin and does it everyone is evil?

The Bible teaches that we are all born sinners with sinful, selfish natures. Humanity is totally depraved; that is, all of us have a sinful nature that affects every part of us (Isaiah 53:6; Romans 7:14). We are born with a sinful nature, and we inherited it from Adam. “Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people” (Romans 5:12). Every one of us was affected by Adam’s sin; there are no exceptions.

We are born sinners, and for that reason we are unable to do good in order to please God in our natural state, or the flesh: “Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:8). We were dead in our sins before Christ raised us to spiritual life (Ephesians 2:1). We lack any inherent spiritual good.

No one has to teach a child to lie; rather, we must go to great lengths to impress upon children the value of telling the truth. Toddlers are naturally selfish, with their innate, although faulty, understanding that everything is “mine.” Sinful behavior comes naturally for the little ones because they are born sinners.

“Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

The sinners who put Jesus on the cross were ignorant of the true import of their actions. The soldiers personally held no ill will toward Him. They were simply following orders. This was how they normally treated condemned men, and they believed that He truly deserved it. They didn’t know that they were killing the Son of God. The mob didn’t really know whom they were trying to destroy. The Jewish leaders had deceived them into believing that Jesus was a fake and a troublemaker (Acts 3:17).

Jesus paid the penalty for the sins that we commit in our ignorance, and even the ones we’ve committed deliberately.

Alright I think we aren't all born with knowledge and we are capable of bad things but you gotta teach kids morality and you dont hold them to the same standard of morality as an adult you have to explain to them something there less morally culpable than 25 and older people

I think kids need to be taught morality.

The kid won't know about god or a specific religion unless his parents or society teaches it to him or he finds it and looks into it and is convinced he should follow that god or religion

Children are an example of humanity being inclined towards sin from birth. I believe that every person is born with a moral compass; babies, for example, already have a sense of compassion, empathy, and even a beginning sense of fairness. But having a moral compass does not automatically mean humans are naturally good. Some Christians believe in an “age of accountability” as a point in time when a person is fully capable of determining right from wrong, long before the brain is fully developed.

Take the 6 year old who brought a gun to school and shot his teacher. Did the child know what he was doing? Did he know it was wrong?

Chances are, he knew bringing a gun to school was against the rules, and therefore wrong. And chances are he knew, before he could even talk, that harming others is wrong.
But parents often fail to teach their kids the consequences of sin. That child most likely did not know his actions would lead to him being separated from mommy and daddy.

You’re absolutely right that children need to be taught morality, but it’s also important to teach the consequences of immortality.

I think that we need to teach them in a way that encourages the knowledge of wrong doing but not like be too harsh about it because they didn't know. Original Sin is a debatable topic, because like the trinity I heard its a idea created by the church and not the bible

You need to be specific which "bible" you're referring to, as each denomination has it's own and there are differences. Luke 23:34 is allegedly what Jesus said to the ignorant, gambling, heathens. Original Sin was a concept of Christianity introduced by the founder Christianity -Paul the Greek, Not Jesus the Jew.

The Bible also says those who sin but knew better get a worse punishment than those who sin in ignorance. So. There's prolly some grey area. Like mabe they knew he was innocent, but didn't know he was God. So like dont hold them accountable for killing me personally bc they don't understand who i am? Anyway that's my interp. Obviously they know they killing him.

Jesus was asking for forgiveness on behalf of the Roman soliders who didn't know they were crucifying the Son of God, not just some random criminal sentenced to death.

what ur saying would logically conclude that people dont always have foreknowledge or full knowledge of morality. morality is a learned thing. your not born knowing its wrong to steal from others

No. Jesus was convicted as a criminal falsey and they sentence Him to death because the jews claimed He was a blasphemer

It's no different if a mass shooter is sentence to death and the executioner kill them for their crimes by order of the governor.
