My husband says Earthquake only kills sinners , is that true?

He said it only kills sinners. He said If a good Christian person even lives in a mud house It won’t collapse but if a sinner lives in a maximum secure house, god collapses it. I agree with my husband what do you think? And did you go to the curch last Sunday?

Anyone who gets harmed by a disaster isn't a true christian, and thus the disaster is apparently deserved. Which helps christians cope with the fact that they live in a world where there is no god and bad things can happen to anyone.

If you were harmed in a disaster, though, I have no doubt you'd have some special excuse for why you're the except to the rule that bad things never happen to christians.

I was watching an old Simpsons episode the other day where Ned Flanders house gets destroyed by a hurricane and I thought how much worse it is for religious nuts when things do go wrong like that, because they can surely only think that they have either done something wrong or that their God has abandoned them.

Religion is so awful, people talk about it being a crutch but I'm not nearly so convinced by that argument as perhaps I was previously. I did have some sympathy for that position but doesn't it get cancelled out by this scenario where you get double trouble?

I guess like you say they just twist it all round and make it into some sort of lesson or blessing in disguise or whatever, or at least some do but there must be some who are truly devastated by things like that and then trapped in a social group which expects conformity to the religion.

Religion is such a blight on humanity, it is way past time that this was ended.
