I knew somebody I thought was a very good person and I sensed they were very evil but I did not believe it at first, then I did some googling and it confirms what I thought, that the guy had a dark side I did not see before. I had a dream that if I accepted advice from God, God would take the problems in my life and turn them into good things that are not problems at all but beneficial blessings.
+1 yYes, without God and his rules and laws, we are nothing more than intelligent beasts. If you don't believe in God that means you don't believe in heaven or hell or consequences that follow after death and if you don't believe in any of those things, there is absolutely no reason at all for you to be a decent and nice person, because decent and nice people always finish last and they are always getting used and abused to the very max.

What's hiding just behind the veil, as physicists are nervously discovering, might shock you.
The idea that there's nothing beyond our 3D world? Now THAT is imaginary! - +1 y
@ObscuredBeyond Riiiiiightβ¦ but believing in a magical creature above space and time that has mapped out all existence from the beginning of time to the end of time and is omnipotent, yet listens to the thoughts of only one group of creatures on a spec of dirt among and infinite sea of other specs of dirt and grants them wishes to micro-adjust this βperfectβ plan that it created, cares what these creatures do and who they have sex withβ¦.
That make sense to you. - +1 y
@LogicBomber agreed
- +1 y
@ObscuredBeyond we are only alive as long as our brains exist. Life after death might exist but any peace we have after death is gonna be not experiencing suffering because we will be sleeping underground. It's a nice idea to exist after death but humans want to believe they aren't going to die and we all just gotta be realistic and accept that when we die we might just actually do just that die.

You clearly don't understand the Volition Dilemma Paradox. Nor do you understand nor appreciate special creation, the concept of love, etc. You want excuses to live life like there's no consequences, no judgment. And you're not even curious. So you give lazy, half-baked straw non-arguments that are really just shoddy excuses. Because all you really want, is to be excused.

My guide is my likes and the things I don't like I don't get advice from fairytales that would be like saying you get your advice from the bunny rabbit at the local pet shop π it's just not sensible and getting advice from fairytales is how you get locked up or never live a good life because your always afraid of sin and won't bang females because you think it's sinful it's not if I bang some chick it's because that's exactly what I wanna do

The tombs of Rachel and Joseph were very real, until Hamas blew them up. Blood of a man with only 24 unique chromosomes was found in a tomb site near where it is believed Jesus was buried. The same family line owns the upper room of the Last Supper, and maintains the property to the present day.
Also, nice of you to betray what a stereotype you are. You're not informed. You're not an intellectual, and feelz are not intellectual supremacy.
You take what doesn't belong to you when you fornicate, but all you really care about is getting to keep doing it.
That's like a home burglar who says there is no judge, and argues that no matter the consequences, eternal or temporal, if he wants to keep robbing homes, he should be able to keep right on doing so. As long as he can't see himself shooting the homeowner, then it can't be that bad.
Pathetic! - +1 y
So somebody had a tomb and then somebody else said oh this is where Jesus was at and then people like you believe it just because somebody said something
They are plenty of workers that know how to build things caves exist because people build them I feel bad for you believing lies people say just because it fits in with what you believe
People will believe whatever makes them feel good. And believing Jesus exist and that if someone does something stupid they got the Devil in them that makes you feel good. Which is messed up if ya ask me. Religious people love it when people don't take responsibility because somebody religious did nothing wrong it's all the devil's fault if some pastor hurts some kid it isn't the pastors fault he's just got the devil In him
Your so called good book is the most evil most ignorant book that was ever written just used to make society ignorant of themselves and gives them every excuse to do wrong and then say Jesus this and Jesus that and to be forgiven
I couldn't tell you how many times a Christian has told me if you hurt somebody just pray about it and all will be forgiven
So somebody killed somebody because they wanted to they could just pray about it and your not even supposed to hate that killer instead your supposed to forgive the killer or killers your religion is filled with nothing but haters and oppressors that let bad people get away with bad stuff - +1 y
There are a lot of murderers that get forgiven all because of the crap your religion spews I'm not ignorant of truth I don't forgive killers I don't forgive bad people for the crap they do they are responsible for the crap they do and they know if they don't take responsibility for there actions and play victim the religious will side with the enemy

So, which serial killers recently have been given carte blanche from earthly consequences for their crimes due to what is plainly written?
Moses was exiled for 40 years for his crime. Paul was stopped from committing an act of genocide against an entire town before it happened, and lived the rest of his days disgusted with himself for ever plotting it.
And when you hurt a woman in unexpected ways because of your only caring about sexual conquest, how delusional are you to presume you're that much better off when the standard is holiness, than any murderer?
Also, if their offense was not against you, should the grudge be personal, or are you overstepping? Yes, if it's actual murder, and without remorse, then they should face consequences under the law.
Interesting how you have a assume the very moral framework that you seek to undermine! - +1 y
Why is God's signature on the human DNA sequence? Why is that region where the signature is found one of the regions of your sequence that mRNA shots seek to rewrite?
Why do strings and other subatomics resonate similarly to a spoken voice?
As for your favorite troll argument: the Easter Bunny does not and cannot explain how our species is able to think logically, do science, nor have any concept of a moral code. Neither does your self-dishonest pantheism.
The walls will keep closing in on you, until you kneel to what you run from, like a bank robber fleeing a cop. This will continue long after I walk away. Prepare for it. - +1 y

@ObscuredBeyond What does any of that have to do with the existence or non-existence of a personal god? I don't pay any attention to untestable theories.
Consequences? There are consequences for every action. Judgment? We are all judged every day by the other people we encounter.
Typical of believers, you claim to understand others better than they understand themselves.
The 2nd part of that pretty much sums up my 2023.

How DARE to even question (yet alone deny) the existence of GOD? β - +1 y
For people who believe in fairytalesβ¦ evidence is a human written book telling them βitβs realβ
No other explanation or questioning is allowed or accepted. - +1 y
@Asad1ONE1 What about it? I don't believe random bullshit just because it assuages my fear of death. Instead I look at the evidence for an afterlife and see that there is none. I see that people who pray and attend services fare no better than my non-believing friends who are doing very well without God.

"I wouldn't want to piss of some entity..." But even if there is such an entity, who knows what they prefer? People tell you that "God likes this thing and hates that thing" but somehow those things are always the things that the speaker likes or dislikes. Even if there is a God, there's no evidence that anyone knows anything about it. All we really know is what we learn through observation -- the laws of physics, the geologic and biological history of the Earth, etc. Misfortune falls on the devout and the skeptical alike -- more often on the devout because religious devotion decreases with wealth.

My recommendation is that you study the Holy Quran. It is called the "Supreme Argument" for a reason.
Because there is no argument for TRUTH.
The catch is that you gotta make the time out to read it. To many distractions in life such as social media, mass media, work, hobbies, etc.
It's for your own benefit. Not mine. - +1 y
Why is the Quran special compared to the Bible or the hundreds of other mythologies that have come and gone? What do we see in the real world? In Islamic countries, women are brutally assaulted and killed for wearing unapproved clothing, and generally treated as slaves. People are arrested and sentenced to long prison terms for internet posts. Meanwhile secular Europe is happy and prosperous.
- +1 y
@Asad1ONE1 The leaders of Islamic nations make Islam look bad. If Islamic nations allowed free expression, substantial numbers of people would be publicly leaving Islam. As it is, they don't leave Islam until they are able to emigrate. The children of Islamic parents who have emigrated to Europe and America will turn secular in large numbers just like others of their generation.
