Do you wish you were more religious?

I do not respect religious organizations the way I used to because I’ve seen so much hidden sin inside the church and also in other places of worship like mosques or temples. I really think naive people are lucky if they believe the church is a holy and sacred place. I’ve seen people more evil than sewage water obtain leadership positions at church and sometimes it seems like a joke.

I was involved for a long time with religious groups, today I don't believe in religion.

I think that Catholic religion didn't understood what Jesus was trying to say and, instead, it copied the bads of Judaism.

Actually Jesus was trying to move away from Judaic beliefs, and narrow it down to more fundamental truths.

Instead Catholicism is rooted into shame, being afraid of God, rituals, rejection of sexuality, etc.

The root belief is that people are fundamentally flawed, and they have to constantly fight that back.

My belief is that, if our biology has evolved for millions of years, it is wise and we shall not fight it back, but instead direct it to constructive pleasures.

For example some people search for bonding on power and appearance, when what they actually need is just friendship and being nice to each other.

Or some people search for sexual novelty, when what they are actually craving is intimacy with some other person.

People in Church never understood such things. I see their values as rather primitive.

There's a difference between people and religion. People can be trash. They are across the board. Most Athiests I know are trashy people because they can be.

I don't really go for church religion I really prefer to study the bible and do my praying

Oh no, if anything I go out of my way to not be religious and that's something I have no choice but to do since I live in India and people take religion way too seriously here.
