What was god doing before the universe?

What was God doing before the creation of the universe? Why did he decide to create the universe and the creatures?
Just to be worshipped? What is worship for?
If he doesn't need it then why would he ask for it?

1, before maybe he did not say what, kuz it is not relevant to our lives, 2, why good wording, suggestion: for humans to choose. 3, worship no, that idea was linked to one nation not all humans so as above for humans to choose. 4 worship is "for" those humans who feel like they want a method to worship a god, i mean a human need. if not feel then only begging and hoping.

5 ask, he never "asked for it commanded worship" but "when you pray" ask for stuff in a certain way see luke chapter... i will find it for you...

book gospel luke chapter 11 verse 2. some mock "god needs us to call him a big boy like to 3 year old" but truly never commanded "praise me". not on the list of commands

I went for the one that made the most sense to me and God didn't create religion, people did, these are the results of God's words being filtered through human minds, actually God is against religion and a religion mindset in general because all it does is separate, speaking for Christianity, Christianity is a connection and with God and following in Jesus's footsteps to follow a life of holiness, we aren't perfect so we will always fall into sin and that's why Jesus was crucified, it was a sacrifice for our salvation, it's why you can repent and be forgiven because Jesus paid the price, many people turn Christianity into a religion and strictly threaten people with hell, that's wrong, we are suppose to warn people about hell to save them from it and that's by spreading the word of God not scare them with it, that's religious activity and that causes separation, which is what God doesn't want, it's why God is against it, Jesus walked the earth but people filtered everything through human minds and it cause separation, it's why there's so many religions and personally I believe the word of God is spread out through other religions, I believe Islam has many truths and actual words of God but not everything because some things just don't really rub me off right because Christianity and Islam speak about a lot of similar things and some even the same, there's still separation because for example both religions believe in Jesus but Christianity believes Jesus was Godly while Islam believes he was just a prophet but to me personally I believe Christianity because I believe only a God can save us from sin, and only a God can live perfect as a human and shed blood to save us, not a human, it's very deep and a lot to think about but who thinks understanding God would be easy, but religion is man made.

I have a theory that this isn't the first universe and it won't be the last. I suspect He keeps making it up over and over again until He's tired of it. He's trying to see when humans will get it right and creates a more perfect universe each and every time like a game. This could be level 5 or 500. Or 5 million. Who knows?

There was no "before" because time itself didn't exist at that point, so therefore God wasn't doing anything (at least not anything we'd understand), and reality was created in order to more fully express His nature.

That's my explanation. Whether it's actually correct might be another matter though.
