Why are people worse off than me jealous of me so often?

I know dozens of people who have less money or education or intelligence of me that have rejected my friendship and gossiped about me out of jealousy. I had a dream people disfavour my success because I do things for my religion and not for my self so I make the self indulgent people feel inferior. But Jesus said if they were jealous of his power and influence, they will also be jealous of your power because you do it for a God they hate.

It may be that you profess Christianity and they are afraid you are right. They want to think they live better lives than you do and fear that when it all ends for them while you still have some place to go.
