Should I ditch Christianity?

I reject the teaching of turning the other cheek, not repaying evil with evil, and only looking at what is spiritual and not anything physical. I feel Christianity ✝️ has done nothing but ruin my life. For self defense being wrong is stupid and for suicide being a sin and self defense is wrong doesn’t make any sense. I choose to defend myself whether I’m told I have that legal right or not.

If I should ditch Christianity ✝️, should I convert to atheism? If not, what religion should I choose?

You are right about self-defense, but suicide being a sin isn't a bad message, since it's inherently selfish. Impacts everyone that cares about you quite drastically.

Anyway, choosing a religion is entirely based on the person and their needs. For me, apart of why I am an atheist is that I think I should choose my own path in life for what's right and wrong. Figure it out on my own through experience and overall knowledge, so I can come to my own conclusion.

It's your choice to go down that road, but it's completely fine to still be religious too. A lot of people interpret God's teachings in very different ways, so I know not all christians are the same about it. Do whatever is best for you.

Turning the other cheek doesn't mean don't defend yourself.

Only a idiot will think that or one that doesn't have a full Biblical knowledge of the Bible.

Jesus is trying to convey don't be so quick to try to avenge yourself if someone does you wrong, not if someone is going to hit you with a baseball bat to let them smack you with it and continue to let them smack you with it.

As what you should do, you need to serve God and Jesus Christ til the end, if you choose to rebel then that's your choice and problem.

I'm not christian, I use to be, but I'm not explaining this as a christian.
Jesus says those that pick up the sword will die by the sword because you get back everything you put out. That's the Law. Transgressions against the Law is sin.

Suicide is sin because one of the first Laws of the universe is create or die. The universe or God is always for upward movement. The devil is for downward movement. Devil is just inverse God. Inverse Law and its effects. Only God exist therefore devil is god too.

You don't turn the other cheek because of moral reasons. You turn the other cheek because of selfish reasons. It's for you not the other person. Jesus is trying to teach people how to use these Laws. Plus you are letting the other person control your mind if you don't. That's literally and I mean literally what you are letting happen if you don't turn the other cheek. You see mind is an activity. That's why you have to forgive they other person. That's the trick to turning the other cheek. Otherwise your mind will control or tempt you to repay them with evil. Forgive means to let go in consciousness. It doesn't mean to justify or accept their wrong doings. If you impress their wrong doings on your subconscious mind you know what you're gonna get. Conscious mind is the gateway to the subconscious that is why you have to kick it out of your consciousness.

You see the whole Bible is connected. It's just principles. It's not what people think. Has nothing to do with morals. It's meant to teach about deep truths. It's literally a book of science. Literally.

I'm not christian and I would have tell anyone to be. I think the key is to be amoral not moral. I believe God is amoral and it explains our universe. But if you wanna be christian you don't have to be perfect. It's okay you fall short. It's okay.

falling into a life of sin just cause your flesh craves it will lead you to destruction and farther away from happiness, these urges you feel are going to satisfy your soul are deceiving you, they will destroy you and when you let go of the connection with god, you give up your shield and you are completely on your own, at that point you'll be consumed by evil, which you won't be able to run away from or be able to choose to reject it.

Were you a Christian because you believed in God and Jesus? If so, do you really want to go against their wishes? If not, then you weren't really a Christian to begin with.

I'm very much NOT a Christian, and if it turns out God and Jesus are real, I'm in for a very bad time in the afterlife - but at least it will be in good company.

As for the physical/spiritual question, again, what is that based on? It's just a matter of priority.
