My little Pop's, I don't want to start on you again, you are too sweet and small to go against. So, for starters all the things you say are 100 % correct, only these things are not the main issue. First, these pictures are just an artist's impression of how he wants or feels at that moment in time. They are his angle of reality, not " the " reality. After that the church then cherry picks which pictures and angles they want to market Jesus by and their faith by. If you go to an Indian church in a reservation, (native American), they draw Jesus as if he was a Red Indian, and in China he becomes into a chinese Jesus. All these things are just different ways to package him accordingly to the time and place. In the time of my lord, a cross was a sign of danger, like we have the skull and bones today. It's like how Marlboro cigarettes was a very feminine product made for women, like Virginia Slims cigarettes. Then just my changing the marketing and not changing the product at all, they made it into a " chest hair and balls hanging", male product. You have to understand what is the sizzle and what is the steak.

When people say they are atheists or agnostic, they mean they do not believe in dogma or scripture, like God is this old dude and you can petition him for stuff you want by praying to him. However, the fact that God exists, is not debatable, it is a mathematical absolute. A mathematical absolute is like say, " Mothers are always older than their children". Things like these do not give the luxury of doubt, the statement itself gives you the answer in an absolute. The concept of God is such a mathematical absolute.

Now these are very hard things for the average human to understand without a long learning process. They are like how understanding Einstein's fabric of time and space, and space-time is.

But don't worry your little mind with all this carp. I am sure you will find your little 25 year old prince... " who will take you by the hand, and make you understand... the world on you depends, your life will never end, killer on the road... alright now !!!

Because people make connections with idols / talismans, subliminal implant. Historically speaking religion's been an excellent tool to impose power over the wilfully ignorant masses. The cross is an implement of torture & many methods were devised to prolong the suffering.

Suffering is what the cross represents; all true Christian's are known by their works because they suffer for them. Jesus by far is not the only one to meet his fate in this way as the cross was a favored form of punishment, particularly the Romans.

Christianity would of been another long dead religion no one remembers if it wasn't for Alexander the great opening the way & Emperor Constantine solidifying it with his victory over Maxcintius when he was outnumbered 3 to 1; an exploding meteor was the sign he saw that convinced him to paint a Christian sign on all his men's shields.

Constatine won & Christianity's future assured when Maxcintius ploy of sabotaging a bridge backfired on him while in route.

The cross is an offensve turned into freedom, an amazing transformation for what was used to torture people to death in the worst way they could divise. And Jesus wasn't the only one that went there.

The same reason doctors are usually depicted in lab coats. The image and imagination are melded in art (which is what this is).

You will also notice Big Jes is always depicted as a White bloke. When in fact he probably was more Arab looking.

Because after he was crucified, the cross became a symbol of Christianity, so people just started depicting him with one, even though he never actually wore one. Art is meant to be symbolic, not historically accurate
