If a person wears a cross around their neck does it most probably mean that they are very religious?

I met a nice man and we went on one date. It was fantastic and we kissed! He is a surgeon. Anyway just now while I was going through his pics I noticed that in every photo he wears a cross. I didn't notice in person because it's winter so I guess he's keeping it inside, but I'm a bit surprised that a highly educated surgeon with 2 phd's would be religious... He never mentioned it, we basically didn't even talk about anything related to God or religion. I don't want to jump to conclusion before asking him, but what are your thoughts?

I’m concerned about your knowledge base and ability to converse with “highly educated” people. You have no clue is all I have to say. You can’t be 30 with little life experience as you expressed here.
The universities, indignant health care, teaching women to read and vote, orphanages, hospitals, public access to schooling etc came from the Christians that fled Europe from 1550 to 1800.

Before asking him what? Why is it weird that a doctor would be religious? That doesn't even make sense. Also, why would he talk religion on the first date? That's a big turnoff for all but a few rare people. Are you really 30 years old? Because it sounds like you have no clue how to socialize.

Guys typically don't wear necklaces unless whatever they're wearing has meaning. I wear my dead girlfriend's ring around my neck, and some guys wear crosses

(It's possible that he just thinks it looks cool, but he's most likely a god fearing man)
