God's done bad stuff, so why do you still worship him?

When God does bad stuff to Boobslayer, he just sings
"The Boobslayer Song."
Boobslayer loves his melons, they're so sweet and round
From tiny little noogies to massive jugs abound
His boobies, tits and milkers, they make his face turn red
And when Boobslayer looks, those bazoombas spin his head
Boobslayer loves his boobies, his melons and his tits
Cantaloupes, booms booms, jugs and fiery biscuits
He loves them to the moon, an eternal kind of love
For Boobslayer and his melons, he sings this song above.
When Boobslayer looks around, those delicious curves
The loving way they jiggle just melts his every nerve
Coconuts, and jugs, big honkers to his tomb
At the end of the day its Boobslayer and boom booms!
Boobslayer loves his boobies, his melons and his tits
Cantaloupes, and jugs and fiery biscuits
He loves them to the moon, an eternal kind of love
For Boobslayer and his melons, he sings this song above.
Yeah, just look at all my boob questions, GOD! https://www.girlsaskguys.com/user/boobslayer/questions
Well here I go talking out my ass because I've never read the Bible so I don't know the bad things that he has done I don't know of the things that people have done and why didn't God fix it why didn't God stop it that's why people hate God or they don't believe in God I don't know anything about the Bible I know what I feel on the inside of me I know that I know a lot of things that are in the Bible and I have no idea why or how did I know them but I do know them
I'm a guy that likes to joke around a lot I like to have fun and I like to pay attention I like to think that our knowledgeable and wise because of the things I've been through are witnessed and I also believe I have common sense
I also believe that there is a higher power
The way humans are made with perfection in so many different ways
Without being perfect is amazing the things that we are capable of doing is amazing if you look at the planet and understand there are seven layers of this planet and each ball inside of the ball inside of the Earth spins different directions it does different thing it amazes me
Water the thing that makes everything work holds memory it is like a god in itself
No matter what you believe in no matter the evil that people say God has done I would think that there would be a good reason I would think that you would see the positive come from it like I said I don't know because I don't know what he's done I don't really care but I care about it
Is it we only use 7% of our brain what I care about is everything on this planet is energy
Now I have never ever stated on here the things that I'm capable of doing the things that I know without knowing them how I can read people how things just come to me but we are capable of doing more than we ever have known before in our lives and now scientists are just coming to the realization of this and I've been trying to tell people on gag for many years about energy sorry I'm taking in the wrong direction but there is a higher power out there there is a reason for the Bible there is a reason for a god and no matter what that reason might be
No matter if you love God or if you hate God
I believe our DNA has God within it I believe each and every single one of us have the best of everything inside of us and the worst of everything inside of us I believe we were all given a gift at birth that gift is choice we get to choose what we believe in who we believe in we get to choose who we want to be by the things we say and do
And I believe if people don't like God that's on them if they don't believe in God that's on them
I don't know anything about that except for I believe in him I believe in a higher power I believe in wrong and right I believe there's two sides to every everything we do on this planet love hate God devil wrong right yes no hello goodbye no matter what it is we have to make a choice
And I think parents forget that and they let their kids run amok and not try to explain to them that there might be a God let them make their own decisions but our world has gone even crazier because parents are not putting this into their kids anymore
Like always I've gone way off track I don't even remember what your question was but I do believe in God I believe that I am one of God soldiers and I believe in right and I believe that we're all on this Earth to become the best that we possibly can become no matter what no matter how crazy we get no matter if it's a sin because I'm the biggest sinner because I need to explore experience I need to understand and some things to get there you have to sin
But whoever you are in this world whoever you choose to be is your choice whoever you believe in is your choice if you're a follower I guess keep on following but at least be able to back up your choice if you are a leader lead make the world better positive bigger place with love passion Harmony and become one with yourself one with everybody one with this planet and one with the universe because I think that's what it's all about in our own little way we have to God Gene inside of us and until we all become one we will never know anything
I think this is an interesting question and is ultimately rooted in what you consider good and evil and also since we have limited human perception you could also say what we perceive to be good and evil. Also I think you misunderstand the concept of the devil because in my opinion I do not view everything we perceive to be bad or negative in our lives as “his fault”.
I view the bible as allegory and I think the standard is both higher and lower than what many people think. I believe the correct allegorical understanding would be that God is loving and there is evidence some of the killings in the bible never happened, which furthers my view that the bible is allegory.
But if its a allegory, that leaves a lot of room for interpretation of what god really wants. Its dangerous terrain, a lot of evil people have convinced others to do their bidding based on what they said god wanted

Because if you go deeper than an English or any modern language translation the meaning deepens.
God's motivation through the Bible is to recover the relationship between us and Him from the time of the Fall. He found one man, Abraham, who Believed Him, not believed in Him. So God changed His own name to "The God of Abraham". Abraham became - at a spiritual level - God's son.
Now I'm not perfect, but anyone tries to harm my son has to firstly go through me to get to him, and if they survive that - unlikely - I'll rip off their arms and beat them to death with the wet ends if the harm is done.
So if an imperfect being like me will go full terminator for my family, why do you think God would do less for His?
Individual acts out of context like telling Israel to - in war - wipe out an entire city including livestock, men, women and children look "bad" to us, but in the context of ensuring the future of the Jews to allow the birth of Jesus a thousand years later to be possible and through Him offer Salvation to all humankind from the moment of Creation to the Day of Judgment so we could all avoid eternity in Hell, it's not so bad after all.
Context is everything...
The simple answer is Free Will. God created humans to share life with by a choice. He gave us "dominion" over the physical environment - a word in Hebrew/Aramaic only used to describe one other being: God Himself.
If God didn't give us a free choice we'd be nothing but automatons mindlessly obeying Him. That's not relationship.
After Sin entered Creation God had two options: destroy everything He'd made because as a Perfect and Just being He couldn't allow Sin to exist for eternity, or alternatively to find a way to redeem that Creation.
Biblically, God chose to take the Justice on Himself by doing what Adam couldn't: live a perfect, sinless human life, allowing Himself to die in our place. On our behalf. By doing that He was able to Rise from Death because He was Sinless. But by being our substitute we are offered the choice again: Live God's way or Leave Him.
And because the Sacrifice of Jesus was a Perfect Sacrifice it is contained within God, not the confines of time - which is in itself a constructed environment.
The result is All Powerful, Perfectly Just and the embodiment of Love in a person.
Ignorance, essentially, is not knowing what you don't know. There is a cheesy old movie called Circle of Iron, cowritten by Bruce Lee. Our protagonist follows a blind man around, and the blind man does things that defy logic:
When chased by bandits, the old man stops to rebuild a stone wall, though he and the protagonist will be killed if caught. A river must be crossed, and they manage to rent the ferry boat to do so. Upon crossing the river, the blind man destroys the ferryman's boat. The protagonist and blind sage encounter a people by the shore, and a beautiful boy there is doted upon and preened by his parents. The blind man strikes the child so that his face will be forever disfigured.
Why did the blind man do these things?
The wall was rebuilt to hide gold from the bandits. They would have killed the village for hiding that gold.
The boat was destroyed so those bandits wouldn't cross the river and kill the ferryman and his family.
The child was disfigured because he was a tyrant, and would have grown to use his beauty to manipulate others for cruel reasons.
I shared these excerpts because Gods are likewise mysterious and at times can seem cruel. Because what they do cannot be understood by those who may suffer for some divine acts.
Consider this-- were there no Gods, and all there was, was what you can perceive, such as nature and evolution, misery, suffering, disease, and death would exist all the same. The animal kingdom can humble those wise enough to learn the lessons available to be taught. Thus, to think of God, or the Gods as the sole source of only the negative things in life is foolish, and selfish. The divine gives everything, not just the negative. If you cannot be thankful for a meal, or a kind stranger, what then have you done but invite tragedy? And what shall you do to convince the Gods you deserve anything good?
Genesis 6:4
and it came to pass when the fallen angels came down to earth
and raped the women,
and got them pregnant, and they gave birth to the nephilim
giants

and the angels began to sin against the
birds and
beast, reptiles and fish and they began to mix them together

for all flesh was corrupted
BUT NOAH WAS A PURE HUMAN he was not mixed
and GOD said unto Noah build an ARK

I will bring a flood and judge the angels and humans that side with satan
for the evil they have done on the earth

and after the flood,
GOD gave the order to the MEN
KILL ALL THE LEFT OVER NEPHILIM GIANTS
LEAVE NOT A SINGLE ONE ALIVE
UTTERLY DESTROY THEM
SHOW THEM NO MERCY

I don't think the Hebrew creation myth is any more credible than that of any other culture. And their history is fabricated.
And, the Roman aristocrats who codified the Bible included the Hebrew bible in order to prove that Jesus is a deity, I discount it, too.
Revelations is as credible as the predictions of Nostradamus.
I'm not religious and seriously doubt if gods exist. The god of the Talmud is a psychopath because the Rabbis who created him were. I could never worship that.
I do have a deep sense of respect, gratitude, awe and wonder for creation. I think creation is alive. Maybe every living creature is the universe observing itself. But I doubt if any supernatural power takes sides or gives a fuck about people.
So, unless some god gives us better evidence for its existence than a man-made book, I'm not going to worry about it.
From my side, I wonder how many people who worship God do so because of the reward and punishment, the promise of eternal life, the threat of eternal damnation. Those could be true even if God is evil. Basically God as all the power, obey and worship or suffer the consequences.
For my part, that is a deal with the almighty that I'm not willing to make. I'd rather join the fallen than serve evil.
I very much doubt God and the devil exist - but if they do, my sense of morality places me on the side of those who revolted against the creator.
where are these things at? i need you to name em, and also logically he is god, he can do what he chooses to do because he made us and he gave us his word and works within his words, now imagine you create a simulation world on your phone or computer and gave your people a purpose and then your little people start talking shit on you like "you piece of shit you are doing what you want" and you are there like well yea its what i made you for, so thinking of it if god is all holy and you aren't and he's trying to guide you to living a life of holiness but you refuse then he's doing bad according to you, which lets be fair, your mind is corrupted by sin and those sinful urges is whats making you think this way, if you believe all god does is make people happy then you are highly mistaken, i recommend you read into the end of times, he will wipe out a third of the population, he's god, not a people pleasing genie lmao
Right! God made everything therefore he has the perfect right to destroy it if he so chooses.
exactly, people think god is there to please them or something, the truth won't change if weither they believe or not lol
Yes. We're here to serve God... not the other way around. I have found that people who have an issue with God tend to have issues with authority figures in general (police, the government, parents, teachers, etc.) stemming from their childhood... and they seem to take it out on God because He is the ultimate authority figure.
hopefully they dont realize these things too late
@Juxtapose You say you could create paradise for everyone but God could do that too. In fact, that's what Heaven is! Then the question is... you could create paradise for everyone but does everyone deserve paradise? No. In fact, does ANYONE ACTUALLY deserve paradise?
If you create paradise for people then wouldn't it be better to also create an imperfect world where people first go so that they can learn firsthand why they shouldn't do the things they shouldn't do... and then they can take those lessons they learned into paradise?
Also, if everyone lived in paradise on earth and got everything they wanted, then what would be the purpose of life? I think people would quickly get tired of having everything handed to them. In fact, that's the story of Buddha, no? I'm not Buddhist, but, as I recall, Buddha was born a prince in Nepal and had everything he ever wanted handed to him -- and in response he thought "This sucks!" so he created a religion based on rejecting material desires. We're made to strive against adversity (and learn lessons from that) and that's what this planet gives us.
@Juxtapose
"I am not here to serve anybody and fuck anyone that says otherwise."
I take it you're unemployed then? If you have a job, then you're serving your boss. If you're self-employed then you serve your client base. Only if you are unemployed do you not serve anybody.
I earn my money without a boss, that's as much information as I'm going to give you about my private life.
You're thinking within your limited human knowledge and how humans would experience perfection with a human mind. Obviously with omnipotence I could give them a mind capable of enjoying eternity and make them all capable of not ruining it.
@Juxtapose
"I earn my money without a boss, that's as much information as I'm going to give you about my private life."
But you DO receive money from people... in exchange for services... so you are serving people. So much for "I am not here to serve anybody". You happily serve your clients.
"You're thinking within your limited human knowledge and how humans would experience perfection with a human mind." Ah, just like you're thinking with YOUR limited human knowledge that the way to go is to give people paradise right now.
"No more death, no more suffering. Only a perfect paradise that our small minds can't even imagine." Wow, that sounds EXACTLY like the Heaven that God gives to those who want it.
@rocksongwriter no lol. Bad assumption there. No clients.
Any reason you have to stick people on this wretched planet to suffer instead of delivering them to immediate paradise pales in comparison to the suffering people have here. You have to be evil to keep people here unless you are simply not powerful enough to bring people away
@Juxtapose
Hmmm... no clients. So no one pays you money but money magically appears in your bank account so that you can eat and have a roof over your head. I'm guessing you live off the government? Oooh, wait! Maybe you're a trust fund baby.
"this wretched planet"
I actually think this planet is great and I'm absolutely loving my time here. I hope God gives as much time on earth as possible because while eternity in paradise would be great, "eternity in paradise" PLUS "maximizing my time on earth before paradise" beats paradise alone.
In other words, given the choices:
1. Eternity in paradise now
2. Long time on earth followed by eternity in paradise later
I'm choosing #2 every single time.
@rocksongwriter see? No matter what answer I ultimately give you're going to attack it so that's it for you bud. Still not close.
That's one of the stupidest thing I have heard all day. You could be in a torturous existence very easily here on earth.
@Juxtapose
"No matter what answer I ultimately give you're going to attack it"
I could say the same for you.
"You could be in a torturous existence very easily here on earth."
"Very easily"? In my 42 years on this planet, I have yet to meet a person whose existence is "torturous". You're just grasping at straws.
I'm not saying shit about your personal life, the fuck?
Really? I have met numerous people who were tortured as children. One girl was even locked in a closet regularly for 9 years, left in there naked to shit and piss in a corner and was only taken out to go to school or get gang raped by pedophiles.
"I know numerous other people who suffer from terrible depression, horrifying hallucinations with schizophrenia." Those are treatable conditions... so they don't have to suffer. I would recommend they get they on the appropriate meds. Yes, there are people who've experienced really rough things... but those cases are EXTREMELY rare. For example, getting locked in a closet regularly for 9 years is extremely rare. Having to live with a bag attached to his body that fecal matter comes out of is extremely rare.
@rocksongwriter you think just because something is rare it can't happen to you? Our existence is so shit we have to kill and eat other creatures to survive even if we are vegans.
@Juxtapose "you think just because something is rare it can't happen to you?" That's not what I was saying. I'm saying if something is rare it can't "very easily" happen to me. Remember? Your whole argument was "You could be in a torturous existence VERY EASILY here on earth." (Emphasis added.) So let's modify it to: "In quite rare circumstances, it's possible be in an existence here on earth that you might feel is 'torturous'."
"Our existence is so shit we have to kill and eat other creatures to survive even if we are vegans." Um, no. If you're a vegan, you don't have to "kill and eat other creatures" to survive. Vegan diets exist as do vegetarian diets and people do well on them. Are you whacked out of your mind? Or maybe you're just screwing with me... in which case I appreciate your sense of humor.
@Juxtapose Plants are not "creatures". Webster's dictionary defines 'creature' as "a lower animal, a human being, a being of anomalous or uncertain aspect or nature".
Source:
www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/creature
So plants are not creatures by definition. Also, plants are not sentient nor are they self-aware... so you don't need to feel guilty about eating them.
@Juxtapose For them to be self-aware, they would have to have brains to process that self-awareness and they don't.
Christianity is a good framework to raise a family in. Different people have different depths to their faith. It's also very simple. Stand, sit, shake hands, sing, put in a couple bucks, leave. Let your kids play with each other, now you have a shared bond and likely morals.
If you've been to church much you'd notice it resembles the bible about as much as funnel cake resembles a healthy diet anyway. Not one time in Catholic or any other mass have I heard even the ten commandments spelled out, but merely mentioned. Most Christians would be hard pressed to tell you about the most basic tenants of their faith, but can tell you in great detail about the last sermon.
We also don't live in a society where we have to worry about famine or flooding so much. At least in the west those are more abstract concepts. Certainly turning a city into salt is.
Creating the notion of God was most likely based on good intentions, to lead humanity on a more peaceful path. But considering how unfathomable human stupidity can be, I'm convinced more problems were created than anything else, not to mention all those really stupid silly so-called "religious" or "holy" wars... As if such a thing could exist...
That notion of God, and religious teachings only help people of genuine good will, people craving for guidance for istance, or desperate in difficult moments.
Cause it is ripped out of context and tossed around like a joke.
Your view and cartoons are showing the bad side.
But omg if we did that to ourselves. We are made in God's image with feelings like he has also.
Amost every one would be constantly killing the dumb ass poeple down here forgetting you in a generation.
Eer play a civ God game yeah all the people die or get murdered.
All other religions do terrible things and force you to murder babies or just shove punishment onto changing you into a worm so who care?
Besides who needs religion when the pride people are going to brain wash our kids! They proudly screamed it in New York. They are so right look at kids toons.
Go ahead and worship the alternative
The bible is one of the most cruel, violent, sickest and most far-fetched books ever created.
Yea God have higher body count than Satan, I don't Worship him, because I am Secular. :)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/KN4654qFxzkDefine God for starters. For me God means that which imposes order over chaos. How is bringing order to a chaotic system a bad thing? The wise are wary of anything kings of old touched including KJV as historically speaking religions been an excellent tool to consolidate power over an ignorant mass, makes it more easily to exploit them.
I don't worship him thankfully , your cartoon says it all really , chuck in a giant chunk of child molestation by his " subjects " , not a nice dude.
Don’t ask me I don’t know either. I agree with some things in the Bible but mostly I’m an atheist. Just floating around different religions seeing which one is the most believable.
That's gaslighting bullshit.
As it's actually people , who have committed the most crimes. Satan just eggs them on, God forgives and redeems quite a few.
I worship Him for the loving God that He is. Yes, He destroyed Sodom and Gamora for their sins. God does not change and He will destroy those who practice those same sins today. His judgement comes to all people in His time...
The cartoon demonstrates and extreme lack of biblical comprehension. Humans judging god is like an ant trying to judge humans. Next.
I've wondered this too. The devil punishes evil. God has killed most the population once and whole cities many times.
''Everybody blames God and nobody blames the devil''
I mean i suppose him wiping out everything, besides the two of each animal thing, could be considered "bad" but, I still don't worship something i dont even know if it exists or not. Why should i?
They worship him because we are taught from an early age to read and accept the Bible as truth, and through a particular lens... my simple question is: who told the first lie in the Bible? Hint: it wasn't the snake.
I wouldn't ever think of doing judgment on our father.
If I had omnipotence then I would make all of reality into a paradise immediately.
Yahweh sucks 🤷
This is not funny he hasn’t done anything wrong. Satan is the one that has done everything wrong.
Well the difference is that He is God, so He decides what is right and what is wrong.
Because I've yet to create a universe. Most of the stuff man arrogantly interprets as God "doing bad stuff". Is just thier lack of understanding.
God is Holy and righteous and when God brings evil upon people and nations is because they deserve it.
That's an interesting perspective from an idealistic / naive POV. The truth is the bible is utterly consistent with how reality works. Life is competition. Everyone understood that fact when the book was written
There are some profoundly ignorant religious nuts in this thread.
I suppose bad from the human perspective is not necessarily ultimately bad from the eternal.
becuse we are at his mercy
I actually worship Satan, he is God in my eyes not the creator God. He's an evil man.
He never had sex. She was a virgin
Once again your wrong on everything
i don't.
Brainwashing
