What is the most rigid and orthodox community that exists in the world today?

I would say orthodox Judaism is the most rigid. I truly admire their exclusivity and how they adhere to all the traditional rulings of the Torah.

I wouldn’t say Islam because although they are similar in beliefs and certain practices from circumcising baby boys down to the way they worship, I know many Muslims who drink and go to clubs etc whereas Orthodox Jews stick with their own communities and don’t engage in any of the frivolous habits that have been introduced in the modern era.

If you know of any community more orthodox than Heradi Jews, please do mention them.

I would say, ultra-orthodox Jewry and stone-age Saudi Islam pretty much operate on the same level. I have followed both communities in their daily struggles out of interest. The amount of laws, rules and regulations both groups have to observe would drive anybody else bonkers.

There are Orthodox Jews who join the military now.

I think Jains are the most rigid. They basically have to sever all ties with their family and the outside world, and they can't even look the opposite sex in the eye.

I agree with your answer. But it works for them... they are rich, produce lots of kids and don't have the problems people on this site have. I bet you won't find any Orthodox Jews , Hissidic Jews on GAG! But they might own it... indirectly:)

There are Amish people living in Maine. They still use horse and buggy, don't have TV or internet and have a very rigid religion.

That is because of proportions. You don't have as many of those of Orthodox Jews or probably even in orthodox Christians. And as for Muslims, when you find a bunch of them adhering strictly to their beliefs and traditions, you rather call them with ither adjectives.

I very much admire Muslims who adhere very strictly to their traditions unless they practice polygyny or something. The men who are monogamous and adhere strictly to their traditions are good boys.

I don't think marrying a 2nd wife makes them a bad boy as it is allowed by the religion (with clear conditions). However, the way it is done, and specially in Arab states is horrendous. They are not 2 or 4. They have 8, 10, 20 wives... Bro... Please... That is not even allowed.

In the West, the majority tend to only have one wife. Most only want one and love the ine wife very dearly. A man like that who’s never slept with any woman, never been clubbing, drinking or to hookah lounges - that’s a diamond 🥹 What makes me think they’re even more precious is the fact that the Western world in convinced that such men don’t exist at all. In these ultra-orthodox communities there are many of these good girls and boys.

Because Jews, by ethnic-background & religion, originated in one place.
Both Christianity & Islam, among other religious, spread amongst ethnically diverse populations. Describing a Frenchman and a German by "Catholic" doesn't make sense on an ethnic level because they are ethnically not the same, despite a common religion. Jews, historically, were ethnically & religiously the same.

I suppose.. but on a religious level, it also means Judaism, despite being the oldest of the Middle-Eastern monotheistic religions, is also way smaller. 2.6 billion Christians worldwide, 1.8 billion Muslims, but only ~16 million Jews. Giving 162.5 Christians and 112.5 Muslims per Jew.

Conversion to Judaism is not easy. Think of it like a family. Those born within the family of John Doe are by birth family. If a child is adopted into the family, especially as a child or teenager, though they are nominally part of the family, the process of being imbedded into the family culture will take many years. Even once culturally imbedded, on a purely blood level, they will never be a real "Doe".
That's why a non-Doe by birth can become a Doe, but still obviously be considered not to be a real "Doe".

LGBTQ are not orthodox. Orthodox people would suggest such things and disown people frim that community. Veganism does not exactly mean that the person would have traditional views like not drinking, not clubbing, not having sex before marriage, not even mixing freely with the opposite sex outside of close family relationships.

I am looking into communities that even frown upon girlfriend/boyfriend relationships. These days even Hindus allow their kids to cohabit so they can’t be counted as orthodox. Orthodox Jews are probably the most traditional and then followed by a very very select few Muslims who follow everything to the letter.

The rigidity and orthodoxy of these groups aren't of traditional values. But the values they hold are still very rigid and they demand a high level to their orthodoxy. And anyone who doesn't share their values are treated as heretics.
