If it's your private property and you want to burn it in a safe way, then I could care less. Toss it in your fire place, fire pit, bbq grill and keep your family warm in winter or cook a meal over it if you need some heat. If you're burning it out in public threatening other people's property then there's probably going to some sort arson issue.
im against it. I am for freedom of speech even more than many are. But with action it becomes a problem

i am sure the politician who did it had legal advisors. in sweden they even got permission from police to do it as a protest by embassy.
perhaps by a worship place that is too antagonsitic but if he did it it must be fine. notably a guy got SAME permission FROM police to protest and burn a bible so think about that.
It's just paper. Religious people taking violent offense is just an excuse for them to do what they want to others.
WE ARE NOT FREE IN IT'S LITERAL SENSE, we are bound by certain rules, that makes us civilized, on the roads, in the office, schools everywhere, and when we break the rules we know we have to face the consequences. So it is dumb enough to say these are freedom, when it doesn't exists in its totality, and when we are the one who have to suffer the consequences. 🌱 So I dare you to practice your freedom of choice in the court of law, or on the roads.
I say it´s wrong because it´s disrespectful. Sure it´s a freedom of choice but not everything you´re free to do is something you should do.
As long as we treat the flag the same way, I'm cool with whatever y'all decide.
Depends upon where. At how in your fire pit? Don't care. In public, where you are risking causing harm to the person or property of others? That's just stupid and selfish.
Recycling them would be the better option.
I understand they are burning it to make a point about freedom of speech and freedom of choice etc but burning is nad for the environment.
don't give a shit about it. if you paid for it, it's yours and you can do with it whatever you want.
I mean, if not wearing mask is freedom, then why not?
I would rather draw pictures of Allah in a miniskirt.
Same as any other book, holy or otherwise.
Freedom of speech. You don't have to like it.
It is just paper.
Burning the Qur'an or any other religious text can be seen as an act of deliberate disrespect and incitement of hostility, potentially leading to social unrest or conflict. How do one respects fellow people in their his/her life, when these specific 'expression of freedom' in life add nothing positive!
Good idea.
