Should I be concerned about the blood test?

I had a blood test a few days ago and my doctor’s wife called to say the doctor wanted to talk to me, but she said, “don’t panic, it’s not a severe issue.”

What does this mean?

When I got the call I was calm thinking God would protect me like he always does, but now I’m not so sure. God did not marry me off, let me complete graduate school, or make me independently rich, so how can I be sure God will protect me from illness? I’m not afraid to die, but my death would make the God I believe in look bad, cause I said God would answer my prayers and nobody believed me.

So I got results today - he said I had high cholesterol and high blood sugar and should try to reverse my pre diabetic condition by changing my diet and eating more beans and less processed food and restaurant food.

You relating everything to god always amazes me.

Either way, being concerned serves no purpose. Whether that is because logically your worry would be meaningless or that religiously, you have faith in some plan, you should not worry.

As for this, it could be as simple as your glucose levels or something simple as that being at high/low levels. A temporary change in diet or a few weeks of taking medication might fix it. Certainly nothing to worry about, just something that needs doing. Realistically if they told you its nothing major that means it is on the level of different food, drink or a pill or two. Duration may differ. Nothing you can't handle.

it could be anything, like your good cholesterol is too low, your bad is too high, your red count is low, whatever.
Many things are easily corrected with diet and exercise.

Look at it this way. Millions of people are just as religious as you, many will be even more dedicated than you. Millions of those will strive to live better life than you helping others. Yet millions of those people will die horrible deaths or live in poverty. Ask yourself what have you done to raise yourself above the millions of people who are more deserving of gods help.

Then ask yourself about all the horrible evil people out there who seem to get everything handed to them on a plate while good people suffer.

As for blood test probably just a dietary thing so don't worry.

God works in mysterious ways. Not giving you the things you want is normal for God. He doesn’t deal in wants but needs. He will always give us what we need… unless in his ultimate wisdom he doesn’t.
Now to the blood test… it’s obvious the lab found something. I wouldn’t panic because panic doesn’t solve any issues. Wait for the news, be strong and deal with it the best way you can once you find out the news. Good luck… I’ll be praying for you.

Try not to make it a big thing. Just talk to your doctor about it. It may just be you're low in a particular vitamin or mineral and he may want you to take a vitamin pill.

Find closure in knowing everything he does has a good reason and one day he will make something good out of whatever issue you have. Remember to always be patient and faithful.
