Did God stop speaking after the Bible was fulfilled with the death and resurrection of Christ?

The Catholic Church, which compiled and solemnly defined the canon of the Bible, teaches that all public revelation ceased upon the death of the last Apostle, that being Saint John.

Having said that, there are two other things to consider. The first is that the Bible - if you are in fact referring to the aforementioned canon - was not "fulfilled" with the Death and Resurrection of Christ. How could it have been when none of the books of the New Testament had been written yet, let alone before the conversion of Saint Paul, who wrote much of said New Testament?

Second, even though public revelation ended when John died, the Church nevertheless has the authority to bind and loose in accordance with both tradition and revelation. In Matthew 16, Christ Himself entrusts Peter with the "keys of the Kingdom" and tell him "whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven".

No, the people that wrote that book of fairy tales just ran out of story ideas for their main character. That was the comic book of their era. Eventually, they gave god a new back story and changed his name to Superman.

The Holy Spirit, the other helper, came after Jesus's ascension. And as all Scripture is "God-breathed" and St. Paul was not converted till a few years after the Ascension and later wrote his books, it should be obvious that the answer is "No."

Now did God stop speaking as pertaining to Scripture with the close of the Cabob of Scripture? A good case for that can be made.
