Do you think it’s rude to call people with epilepsy demonic possession?

People have different opinions about what is rude but I imagine a person with epilepsy might find this offensive.

In the Bible it says some things like people with epilepsy are possessed by demons

People who believe an health issue is a demonic possession just because some 2000 year old text says so, can't be described as being rude.

Yes. It's rude. Only uneducated people would think that way. And that is what they were 2000 years ago - uneducated. They had to come up with some reason and made that up. It was only till science became advanced that they were able to proof that it's a neurological condition. What I was told by n very very religious (Christian) is that people who have seizures are actually angles... and they seize bc there spiritual form has difficulty surviving in this material world. Go ask your pastor/preacher his opinion about it. Let me know. I'm curious. I don't believe in either one, only that it's neurons misfiring.

The kid in those verses could not have "epilepsy". Firstly, epilepsy is genetic and there is usually between a 30-60% chance of it carrying in the family. That kids parents and siblings were fine.

Secondly, epilepsy also has no "cure," let alone being "instantly" brought out of it like that kid was.

Yes. The thing is some people just read the bible without understanding it deeply. Do not take every word in the bible literally, they have deeper meaning that requires wisdom. Being disabled doesn't mean they're automatically possessed.
