I have read online it was a common belief hundreds of years ago that epilepsy was linked to witchcraft.
I am curious is there anyone from the 21st century who still believes so?

I did witchcraft when I was 7 years old and I had epilepsy when I was 11 years old. It went away when I was 15 and I had one final seizure when I was 19 but I still had very mild seizures a few times at 24. They were less painful than a light grazing rub on my hand and were defined more as tiny low key vibrations than seizures. The first seizures I had were more painful than having my entire body set on fire.
No. It’s a neurological condition.
no. hundreds of years ago attributed all sorts of stuff they didn't understand to bulshit like whitchcraft, demons, gods or spirits. it's all bullshit of course and none of that evidently exists. luckily today "most of us" aren't that dumb anymore.
No, I'm not mentally ill

The reality is back then accusations of witch craft were mostly done because a person was already unpopular. Any excuse, be it epilepsy, a poor harvest, or just an everyday mishap would be pinned on the person no one liked. It was just a convenient way of getting rid of that annoying woman who moaned too much.
If you look at the UK as an example. Scotland killed thousands of witches while over the same period Wales killed about half a dozen. Both places were highly religious but king James of Scotland pushed a purge for political reasons. People felt they needed to point the finger less it be pointed at them.
No absolutely not... As there's no such thing as "Witchcraft".
I suppose it is possible for a witch to make people look like they have epilepsy. If they can tyurn you into a newt, who knows what else that can do. https://www. youtube. com/watch? v=rf71YotfykQ
No it’s that type of thinking that keeps people and countries rooted in the 16th century.
