Do you believe epilepsy is caused by evil spirits or demons?

I know I posted a question similar to this in the past but the last time I posted it my level was too low so I couldn’t post a link to what I was talking about. My level is now high enough for me to post a link.

Anyway here are some phrases from the Bible saying epilepsy is caused by demons and evil spirits.

The problem with such ideas is that obviously it just descends into fear and superstition. In other words, at this point in time, they are not helpful.

I do however believe there is a spiritual component to health, as holistic beings, that we all need to take care of. Though we are in the grips of a supposedly rational scientific reductionism/materialism paradigm, we can see all too starkly, if our eyes are open, the failings of it.

That's ridiculous. It's just neurons misfiring in your brain. Back in the days they did not know about epilepsy, so they had to come up with some dumb reason. The true answer was found after scientists finally were able to.
