They don't call them "religious fanatics" for no reason. It's a direct pipeline and talk about grooming!! How many people have had to "get out" of the Mormon Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, Evangelist churches, or Scientology and other such bullshit?
How many people have to go through YEARS of therapy to feel sane again after being groomed and brainwashed by these religions? Thousands and thousands. How many people have to go through therapy for being former drag queens? LMAO. Who's doing the grooming here folks?

Almost always. It's the mentality that for some reason one religion is right and all the other religions (+ the atheists) are wrong. Narrow-minded but then that's almost the definition of extremism.
These are people who are incapable of ever doubting themselves and never think they are wrong about anything. They don't know the meaning of the word "humility".
The love judging other people. Easy for them to do when they believe they're always right and everyone else is a "sinner".
Well duh as this video proves. This is why soo many people are leaving religion

Can religion lead to extremism? Well, to address this question, it depends on the perspective from which you are examining it. To simplify, consider this example: During the time of British rule in America, as Americans fought back, George Washington was regarded as a key figure. To the perspective of the Americans, George Washington was a freedom fighter, but to the British, he was considered a terrorist. Similarly, Nelson Mandela, the former South African president, was viewed as a terrorist by some, while for many South Africans, he was a hero. This illustrates that the perception of the same actions can vary greatly depending on one's viewpoint.
When it comes to extremism in religion, it also hinges on perspective. Some individuals who enthusiastically embrace certain religious concepts may not see them as extreme. It's important to acknowledge that there are diverse interpretations of religious teachings. What one person might view as extreme, another may perceive as entirely acceptable.
So, in essence, whether religion leads to extremism or not depends on one's perspective and interpretation.Totally. Another proof that religion is man made. Many people kill in the name of religion, how’s that not extremism. True, not all religions are as agressive as some fringe groups inside one religion but all religions practice in my opinion some form of brainwashing…
I'd say, religion could, but aren't the main reason.
the main reason is political ideology.
religions can be merged with political ideology, supremacist religions - which leads to extremism.
religion is generally spiritual in that it is about believing truth that can't be proven.
the rest is history and politics.Oh, absolutely, but I think this is most common with Islam. I don't buy all the recent criticism of Christianity. Just for the record, I'm an atheist.
Religion has led to extremism many times. Witness The Crusades, and countless times of "ethnic cleansing".
Nope, i'm a christian and my religion teaches love and forgiveness...
It can, but then again, so can any other system of belief.
Religion by itself, no individual extremists use religion as in excuse to exercise power over other people. Atheists of today are just as much zealots as many other religions are.
For sure. To some extent, I think religion can reflect the deeper self.
It seems that some extremists use religion as an excuse for their actions but also religion brings out extreme behavior in some people.
yes. Every religion has its fair share of extremists.
certainly not. the problem is extremism but not caused by religion. extreme could be anything. extreme abortion allows killing every fetus until moment of birth that is extremism.
Yes. But that why you need to examine what is your primary motivator. You should never be driven by hate.
Religious wars were some of the most destructive and deadly in our history so the answer is absolutely yes.
Yes - a massive amount of history confirms this.
"Think it can?" We've seen it happening for millennia.
Nah…. show me one example.
Ok show me two.
Ok-all roads lead to extremism include atheism and liberalism
Ruby Franke is the perfect example of how religion can lead t extremism.
well let's just say that the delusion that "death" isn't the worst that can happen to you, can push people to do extreme things.
