Christians, do you love your "enemies" and pray for those that persecute you?

I'm finding not many doing so out loud, and so I wonder if they are doing so in private.

It's not easy to get hearts to change...

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? ha, that is funny and weird yes. It may be people care differently. People do get lost in their BS, in conflict. They hand filter out bible verses that support how they feel. humans can be screwed up... even the smartest and highly trained.
Everyone is different and let God speak, for you may change others hearts.

it's very freeing isn't it, knowing we don't get to keep anything. It doesn't work quite as well when have children left behind that rely on you, or pets, etc.. that's harder. good work! There's a reason Jesus didn't have a pet dog...
