This would create all sorts of paradoxes. Would looking into the future change the future or would it be a part of a series of events leading up to what I saw? Would I, in either my excitement or horror, mess up the natural flow of things?

i would warn myself. also in series stargate sg1 and in series umbrella academy, trying to prevent future calamity caused a future calamity.
