I suppose I was pretty young. I believed the bullshit because it's what my parents and grandparents taught me. At that point, I had no reason to question them! They were adults that knew better so, I trusted what they said. My grandmother and her kids were all very religious and I spent my first 3 school years in a school that was part of a Lutheran church but, by the time I was 6 or 7, I was already questioning this god bullshit!!
I asked god to help me with this or that and I never got any reply. Why? And, of course, all I ever got were bullshit answers, just like now, when you ask that kind of stuff of religious people and they say stupid shit like, "God works in his own time!". Great! I'll remember that when I'm about to drown in the middle of the ocean and I'm begging god to throw me a rope or something to float on and I end up dead because he works in his own time! No matter WHAT you ask them about god, there's ALWAYS an excuse!!
I used to work with this highly religious kid in the print shop, one who loved rap and swore like a truck driver but believed in god with all his heart. One day, he asked his dad why there were no dinosaurs on Noah's Ark. His dad said, "There just wasn't enough room for them.". He'd rather lie to his kid than tell him the truth that dinosaurs died out a long time before Noah!
I think back to Sept. 11th 2001 when the planes hit all those buildings and how not only the people in those planes and buildings prayed their asses off for god to save them but, about 80% of the planet did, too and, where was god? Why did those 3000-some people die? Was god on a golf outing? Was it just not his time to save those people?2 or 3 years... but quite early realized adults don't know answers to my questions, so I lost the interest
i probably heard before i was old enough to remember. somehow by age 4 i had heard that god was a spirit. and that made me argue with the bible teacher about genesis chapter one verses one and two. prescool heresy!
I was probably a new born. From my birth parents.
The first time I remember I was probably 5 and the neighbours kids couldn't play on Sunday morning and my foster parents explained whyI don't know but very young seeing as I don't remember. It's one of those things that is imposed on people. We are forced to believe something before we can even think for ourselves and do any research.
probably church. i remember being incredibly bored. i had fictional characters to read about at home, no need for a church outing
When I was eight, and I remember that at the time I couldn't believe that anyone could actually believe in something like that. It didn't make sense to me then, and it still doesn't make sense to me now.
Too young too remember but santa seemed more plausible than the vengeful guy in the sky
I was very young. I think it was just the whole thought of, well who made him?
