Could this message in a dream apply to all relationships and not just married ones?

I had a dream telling me that the harder I worked or suffered the better my relationships would be.

I notice that the times in my life where I was under the most stress and busiest, those were the times where I had the most amazing friends or love interests. This was only true after I started a living a religious bible driven lifestyle.

The times in my life where I was laziest were the times where I ran into dangerous psychopaths or sociopaths and there was a few times where those people had injurious intentions towards me.

I see a pattern where evil people or negative events like a health problem tend to occur more frequently if I experience luxury without sacrifice such as eating a free meal I did not pay for or going somewhere where a friend paid for the social outing.
