Because they aren’t believers , and they don’t believe in religion. Me personally doesn’t care what anyone believes , as long as it doesn’t affect me , I choose to believe in God and I have my reasons to believe in God. I don’t need to explain myself to anyone , there was a time I didn’t believe , but that changed for me when I chose to give my faith to God. I am no holy roller and I don’t push my religion and beliefs on to anyone, unless they ask me to. I had religion talk with people that didn’t believe and the conversations never ended , so that’s why I no longer waste my time explaining why I believe. The way I look at it , is we are all going to die one day , I choose to live my life knowing God is by my side and when I die? I believe I will continue my life in Heaven over nothing at all

1 yThat's cause they miss the whole point, the whole point is faith, it seems that people that believe and have the mental strength to believe in a higher power that isn't visible get to go to heaven, if you think of it, there's a lesson in there somewhere, not everything we see is seen right or accurately and not everything we can't see changes the fact that it's not there, faith itself is a sixth sense because not everyone has the ability to do so and overall faith helps your mental health, it's a benefit to your overall health which is only an advantage In life.

1 yGod does not always make His power obvious to everyone. I’ve had people accuse me of lying and ban me from church parties when I talk about miracles God performs for me and I’ve had people accuse me of lying when I interpret the bible cause they don’t believe somebody so normal and typical in appearance could have the interpretation credentials I have.

1 yI think this is a closed-minded question to ask.
It implies that those who do not believe God, heaven or hell have no rational basis for that belief.
By definition these things are spiritual beliefs. And by definition a spiritual belief is one which has no direct tangible basis.
While I do not believe that you can prove that God, heaven, and hell do not exist, because it's not possible to prove a negative, I resent the implication of your question which is that those who do not believe in those things have no rational basis to do so. If proof is defined as tangible evidence detectable by human beings then they certainly do have a rational basis to believe that God, heaven and hell do not exist.
To ask a question as dismissive of their beliefs is as disrespectful to them as someone who summarily dismisses your belief that those things exist.

1 yThey say it because it's true.
There is no proof or even evidence that any of those things exist. People go on about "faith" which is basically saying the same thing. "Faith" means there is no proof, but believe it anyway. If there really was proof, then people would not use words like "faith".

very ignorant, plenty of prooof. even proof by the most extreme doubter decartes ! but god was a certainty as factual as "3, 5, 7 are odd numbers".
no conflict with faith, because fairh is NOT BLIND faith. - 1 y

Bullshit
Believe it all you want. But to say it's factual is totally absurd.

Because if a religion is going to claim a divine moral authority has given them dominion over everyone else then they need to first prove that the divine moral authority exists. Otherwise it comes off as them wanting dominion over everyone and their pretending to believe in a god is just another bullshit excuse for self indulgence.

1 yBecause if God is real then so are his teachings and a lot of people don’t want to live by the morality taught within the Bible. Therefore they insist that without scientific proof there is no validity to a claim that God is real. Well, I know of a lot of things that cannot be scientifically proven or validated that I KNOW is real, starting with love.
You cannot put love in a test tube and measure it but it’s real enough that people change their lives over it.01 Reply
1 yBecause there isn't. There's evidence, yes, but not proof- not enough to conclusively say "God, heaven, and hell all exist".
Not that's accessible to living humanity, at least.

1 yProbably because there is no such proof. There can't be proof otherwise it wouldn't be a belief system anymore it would be factual.

1 yWhen people say "there isn't any evidence of X" they mean "there isn't any sufficient evidence of X"
Sure, testimony is evidence, but this is the weakest form of evidence and testimony alone is useless.

Everything in a court of law is testimony. It's might be testimony from an eye witness that is under oath or from an expert witness that investigated a particular forensic aspect of the case and can then explain it to laymen. People decide if they want to put faith in the integrity of the person speaking to them. For all you know, they could fake the finger prints, use AI to make deep fake videos or surveillance photos, falsify digital records, falsify DNA results, etc. It's easy enough to fake a crime if the people giving testimony are corrupt. People have to listen to the arguments posed and put their faith in someone.

Well you could say that Apostles to Jesus were experts in Hebrew theology being that they recognized and comprehended that Jesus was the Messiah that came to fulfill the Old Testament prophecies. They were out in the field investigating the matter and then eventual Apostles like Matthew and John wrote their testimony of their findings down. It's just a different field of investigation.

So if the Apostles could be compared to say police forensic scientists in a murder investigation out in the field collecting evidence or even undercover officers if you want, then you could probably compare Paul to some Ph. D wielding expert witness given that he was a Pharisee which were a Jewish religious party members that promoted priestly purity for all Jews. He originally rejected Christians and was highly critical and oppressive toward them. Eventual he came to the realization through exposure that Jesus was the Messiah of Israel and through his investigations found that there were five hundred eye witnesses that were willing to testify concerning the event of the resurrection of Christ. We don't hear all 500 testimonies from the eye witnesses of the event, just the testimony of the expert and several eye witnesses.
1 yAs a biologist, I know their so-called all scientific alternatives to god and religion. I personally believe in god without doubt. Let them prove their thesis.
