Why do some religious people refuse to acknowledge there is no scientific evidence heaven and hell exist?

I believe the answer to this questions isn't very deep. I mean it can easily get just as deep as anything else in reality for instance by going into social influences, how we link our identities to reality & concepts, how we find meaning, the nature of rewards & chemicals interactions, etc. But none of that interests me enough so I'm just gonna stay on the surface lol.

The brain isn't always rewarded by agreeing with better logic. It's capable of comprehending well-grounded logic, but the primal parts of our brains still run the show. If we're chemically rewarded for something, our brain will remember & it will continue to seek it out at least in concept. Similar to the disciplines that one would adhere to in order avoid addictions, we all differ in capability. And it can be easy to tell ourselves that we're not addicted. But of course, just like you hint at, rejecting better logic seals the frame. If anyone rejects it without presenting other well-grounded logic, then they're addicted. Addicted to the feeling of being right & having a more simple view of things.

Because the point isn’t to believe in science. The idea of god or spirit in general is something based in faith, not proven facts. It’s like how documented evidence doesn’t change the minds of flat-earthers because it’s not about the science, it’s about an inherent distrust in authority figures that dictate information to the public at large. In this case, they trust those authority figures and their information that has no proven base.

God gives enough evidence and enough lack of evidence, that both believers and non-believers will think the world confirms or denies their belief or non-belief in God, because God wants to give us a choice about what we choose to believe or not believe about God. This life is about making choices. The next life is about rewarding and punishing the choices we made in this life.

If you mean it's not physical then yea cause it's not physical, it's a spiritual realm and science will never catch up to it, that's if they don't at some point decide to start seeking for evidence beyond matter, as long as scientists remain stubborn to move on from physical evidence, they will never find evidence to a realm that is beyond matter, to them it doesn't exist cause they can't touch or see it, this is why they will remain in the third dimension even when they desperately seek for evidence of a forth dimension, basically anything that's beyond the third dimension, because the forth dimension is life after death, until they decide to let go of matter being the only form of evidence to a specific existence, they will remain stuck in the third dimension until it's too late, I believe with my soul in an afterlife, scientists believe death leads to nothing, but they can't explain this nothing, this nothingness sounds more unbelievable than an afterlife tbh, I think why they prefer stubbornness is because the only trace of the afterlife is God and nobody hates anything more than having to accept they have done wrong or must change to be better so they best way to avoid that is to believe it doesn't exist, which is easy to do when all you choose to believe is if I see and touch, it exists, if not, it doesn't exist.

we do acknowledge it. we just don't care about it, we don't require scientific proof for everything.

why do non-religious people has this much problem with not everyone needs a scientific evidence for everything or accepting everyone is different and we should at least not bother with it if we don't respect it?

plus if we think pragmaticly becoming non-religious would add nothing to my life, it would change nothing in the way how i live.
