Do you believe in omens?

Some people really buy into them, others not so much. I am in an odd position because I lean on my native heritage to say "it's an omen" when I don't want to explain the science of a thing, like how when there are rings around the moon or you catch turtle crossing the road it needs it will rain in the next 3 days.

Recognizing that my former employer was very superstitious I would also tell her about "omens" I would. come across as I left my country home for work to help calm her nerves about major projects... but honestly her success was more due to her collected mental state than anything i saw

Omens often have a scientific basis. Rings around the moon are a sign of an approaching warm front and the formation of cirrus clouds and it usually does rain. Animals particularly water ones are sensitive to atmospheric pressure and will relocate to their advantage.

People often don't know the science behind the behaviour but they do spot the changes and link them to upcoming events

Yes, luck does happen. Good things do happen, bad things do happen. It's like media stories, they'll show only one angle or one side of a story - and say oh this poor person - yet inside - yet inside - they all know what was the full angles

yes some events r' omens but not a turtle or moon eclipse etc.

I didn't say a moon eclipse, I said a ring around the moon... and it is true, if you see a ring around the moon it'll rain within 3 days... turtles are a hood indicator too
