Would you recommend the Lutheran Church?

I am now in a new journey in looking for a new church. As I was praying I felt my mind was telling me to attend The Lutheran Church. Yesterday the pastor got very angry at me because I help out a lady pay for her hospital bill and also because I tip the waitress $100. I do pay my tight ingredients each Sunday the pastorbtold that wasn't enough that I am going straight to hell over tipping $100 to tge waitress instead of donating it to the church. I felt that I had to help out a lady in need to pay her medical bill other wise her heath would get worse. I was able to sleep peaceful to be honest. The pastor believes that all that money should had been donated to him that's no true Christian in my opinion. A true Christian helps out people if came. I am so over Assemblies of God. No where in the bible it says we're going to hell for helping people. Where's the companion. Maybe this is a sing that God is telling me I should get out of there. I have sympathy and compassion for other even in the bible it's stars love your neighbors be kind to other. I am bow considering The Lutheran Church they're more focus on Jesus. What is it like going to Lutheran church? Do you recommend the Lutheran Church to others?

No that is not a true Christian but with that said pastors are human. Christian means being a follower of Christ and even though people on earth will fail you, Jesus won't. I say continue looking for a Christian church but don't set your eyes on the people so much but on the Lord. People can be false prophets and twisting God's word. So it is best to study the Bible so that you know those who aren't. If you feel the need to leave yes, you should. No pastor should condemn you like that and say you are going to hell for not donating to the church. Again lots of false prophets, you did good helping out the lady who needed it, and the Lord knows your heart

Yes You are absolutely correct we can't rely on humans Jesusbisnthe only way. Yes their are false prophets I attended a convention from Katherine kirk later I was sad and felt betrayed afterbI found out she's a scam and calls some pastirbfrom Africa papa which is weird even some older people called Katherine mama. There are several types of Lutheran, some fairly biblical, some apostate, you have to be discerning. The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is the one I'm most familiar with. They're quite biblical except they put so much emphasis on baptism and communion it concerns me. Calling them sacraments instead of ordinances. It felt like there was a force in the synod trying to make it more catholic-like. In my opinion that's going the wrong way. Aside from that they were okay. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has gone very apostate and I would not consider their teachings to be Christian. They support the satanic LGBT movement and pay for abortions with offering dollars through their health plan.

If you're wanting to go with a Lutheran church, the Missouri Synod or Wisconsin Synod are quite bible-based. I mentioned my reservations about their focus on communion and baptism. The Missouri Synod also baptizes infants, which I tend to disagree with. I don't know if Wisconsin Synod does that. The LCMS also doesn't believe in the pretribulation rapture. But if you're okay with those things, The LCMS and WELS are a good choice.

I've been looking into a denomination called Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). They seem bible-based and believe in the pre-trib rapture. I wish one was closer to me (12 miles), but I guess that's not too far to go for a great church.

Finding a biblical church is like walking through a minefield because The Enemy is constantly trying to corrupt churches. The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) is still a Godly church, but the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) has gone off the rails into apostasy. Most churches have a website, compare their statement of beliefs to the bible and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to a good one.

Lutherans are very different from Assemblies of God and Pentecostal.

Lutherans are traditionally in the way the worship. It is actually pretty nice.

So, if you feel the Lord drawing you to a Lutheran church, you should go.

I will take your advice. No kidding at Assemblies of God it feels more of a Vanz WRped Tourbc9ncert rather then a place of honoring God.

Lutherans are interesting. One friend I made a long time ago who time has split me from was a beautiful soul. I met him as a Lutheran and he eventually became catholic when he realised all the wealth of knowledge, belief and grace available to him.

If you would like some guidance on this topic I am a lay catholic meaning that I have no special position in the catholic church but I am a strong believer with relatively good knowledge of the Bible and an excellent idea of the interpretation and teachings.

Thanks sorry I have not been here for a while. I don't really practice religion now. I still believe in God Jesus Christ. I have learn that Christianity isn't a religion Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ. I some how ended up in the trap of the Pentecostal church. A lot of their doctrines are not on 100% biblical. Most Pentecostal believe in prosperity the more money you give out to the church the more blessed you will be. I find that interesting I wonder what about the good people that obey God but unfortunately do not make much money. People are not going to stop eating only because the pastor reminds tighing. Funny

I haven't been attending a church since the start of covid lockdowns, but prior to that I was a member at a congregation that was part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. I really felt their positions on social issues were in the right place, and I was proud to be a member of the church. I highly recommend finding an ELCA church to visit, and talk with members, not just leadership while there. I think you will find it to be a welcoming community.

considering luther opposed the "hierarchy" of "pope and cardinals" as incorrect, it seems equaly wrong to have a hierchy even with different names "synod and board of directors run by president" like a pope just different titles just as wrong.

I don't know much about the Lutheran Church I like going to a Christian Gospel Hall they're simpler and truer in their beliefs then a lot of the big church's.

As with any church be careful to check its doctrinal statements. There are those that follow the Bible, and others that follow the society.

No, I wouldn't recommend. I don't usually go to church, I believe in the King James Bible and I judge that churches are too distant from a strict interpretation. Keep that in mind.
