What do you of the bread and water in the Jewish bible?

The bible says the Lord might give you the bread of adversity but the water of affliction, but He will no longer His eyes from you.

I thought this means, when you face adversity, God will compensate you with wisdom, and income and job skills.

When you face emotional or physical stress, God will forgive you or overwrite your sinful past so you can begin anew with an incrementally more righteous lifestyle that gets better and better til you die and go to heaven.

It's important you do not practice virtue signalling. I've seen people practice virtue signalling and their reputation defaults away because the things that previously maintained their social status are gone.

The bible says God lowers your status when you practice virtue signalling.
