Ah, it looks easier to answer now, no more metaphysico-psychology mix. Phew. Well first, I don't think its related to soul, because soul is unidentified unless belief subscription that it is. Soul meant as spirit, as symbol and literature, then yes, okay.

My answer would be that this feeling is affected by many parameters, the identifiable ones, such as similar language, similar views, physiological chemistry, emotional amplification of the moment due to mood, needs or drug impact. And the way less identifiable ones, those related to our narcissistic construction located below the level of consciousness, this topic is WOW. Massive. Other perspectives, I'm fair, on "unconscious or not" would be this.

It can break because physiological chemistry can be temporary ? If hormonal ? Because emotional amplification returns to normal state ? Because, unconsciously, other patterns, associations of ideas are being formed and destroy the previous associations, or ponder/balance them?

I'll need to contemplate your answer more throughly before I can reply. But... there is something. Maybe only spiritual, empathic or psychic people feel it? I wondered if it was a normal occupancy? Perhaps it isn't. It's very hard to describe. With a complete stranger you can just get an energy. A buzz. A feeling. And then you talk and it feels amazing. It flows. And they seem energised like they feel it too but with less awareness?

No not all romantic at all. Tho some in my early life had an attraction factor. But let me see...
I had a husband. We worked together. But one day at work there was this young student. I say young. I mean, I was prob like 26 and I'm 22. There was a spark. An intensity. I felt guilty for it. He disappeared so I guess he only worked a short time in gap between studying. That could maybe be lust or romantism?
Another time I was working on checkout. Looked up. Eyes met this man and he was like an angel. Long blonde hair. Most likely lust again lol. But then... later I saw him visiting the apartments where I lived. There was a spark. So much so I painted a picture using him as my model. A blonde warrior angel with beautiful wings... haha.

But no... as a carer I have bonded with numerous people at work. Old people. No lust lol. Sometimes you just connect instantly. Sometimes you think nothing then one day you actually take time to sit and talk to them and a bond is formed. This person you had no investment in, you cared only from a work viewpoint, is now something more. A little piece of your heart or soul.
But the deepest "soul" connection... when it is both the bond like above AND the romantic bond combined. Yes chemicals, horniness, physiology must he involved. But a deeper knowing - understanding that person. Seeing then. Knowing them where others do not. Thinking of them and having them respond as if somehow they know. Feeling that your on their mind and having it confirmed.
I still feel like I lack the words to express this.

Yeah I get that especially when it comes to lust or love. In this particular case I saw and felt something just looking at the profile picture of this guy. Then we matched, connected, had a crazy wild spark when met for sex. And then the bond between us built up and up over 10 months so not something that flared up and burned out quick. Maybe it was just coincidence tho going from what I sensed in his picture being true.

Feelings are made to be felt, they are true, internally valid, at the moment you feel them. No science can take that from you because no science is equipped to measure your feelings exactly.

Feelings are primitive incentives to get you to have more reproductive success. Eventually they will be phased out of evolution and reasonable entirely replace these mechanisms that largely exist to help the stupid.

If you're too stupid for example you won't realize that being alone is dangerous so your biology makes you feel lonely so you will go back to the group. It gives you incentives to want to fit in. Meanwhile a being that is reasonable enough will come to these conclusions on its own without the need to be pushed by its own biology.

When you speculate that cognition or intellect is the ultimate value, it is you giving value, individually, it is your perception of how should be a more desirable world, a more intellectual one. Not evolution, evolution doesn't care about that, it cares about adaptability. And as I said, I see reasons why removing sensitivity would cripple our adaptability.
