1, People ask how could abraham in book genesis, take the knife to kill his son, it seems like horrible murder and human sacrifice. Killing your son is good?

2, Others ask how could god command to kill his son, that seems like god is evil.

3, the ancients added some details to respond to such criticism.

a, The bible specified "god tested abraham" in genesis 22, meaning god planned to interrupt and save the son. no killing.

He wanted abraham to think he was killing as a test but will interfere.

3b, The new testament adds commentary!

Abraham was commanded to kill his son and also heard "your son will be a nation" so Abraham interpreted both true! that god would REVIVE HIM FROM DEAD so not really killing!

Killing is bad but not when god gaurantees to revive him from dead because isac his son will have kids.

so killing son is bad, except in that specific situation. Problem solved.

God never revived him because he was never dead. Abraham didn't kill his son.
