British and Catholic? That's surprising, because most Brits are Protestants. But actually the Orthodox church is closest to the original Christian church. The Orthodox church came first. The Catholic church was formed by people who didn't like the idea of having multiple Popes. But I agree that Catholicism is the best and least strict deonomination

@KostasKouvalis Britain has many catholics, Britain was Catholic before it was Roman Catholic and the Celtic Christian church continued after England fell to the saxon pagans.
The Catholic Church and orthodox church are basically the same church. The split came more over politics than religion with the Holy Roman Empire holding sway in Italy and western Europe and the byzantine eastern Roman empire holding sway in the east. Naturally both emperors wanted the leadership of the church in their spheres of influence. When the church divided between east and West they developed independently from each over and culture had a lot to do with that.
