How is it generally taken by the Jewish community if you (a gentile) date or marry a Jew?

I know a Jewish man who keeps hitting on me. I’m a Christian woman. He knows this. He’s from an orthodox Jewish family, but claims to be non religious. I’ve heard of some of the Jews moving away from their community and intermarrying, but I think it must be pretty rare.

1, Some jews teach their family only marry a jew, but most jews maybe 12 million are secular.

2, Reform jews , not only intermarry but reform rabbis arrange it! so that is fine for another 6.5 mn.

3, Orthodox don't intermarry, neither outside of jew nor a different orthodox , out of each group type sect,

but he is like most secular jews.

4, From your side, say "i am christian, so do you care if that is the education i want for my family".

I am not certain, but I believe they expect you to convert to Judaism.
