Are gods aliens and we are just their genetically engineered hybrids?

Somehow evolution accelerated increasingly 2 millions years ago. Our ancestors were mammals similar to lemurs and than 2 million years later a civilization and beginning of space exploration.
Somehow our rational mind has problems with instinct and emotions which come from animal side of our mind. Our never ending greed for collecting resources, need for domination and many other negative things from human nature are a deadly combination with our technical affinity.
Maybe gods made us too early and few millions years more natural evolution would be beneficial for us? Maybe our gods made some mistake while they genetically engineered us, while mixing their DNA with DNA of lifeforms on earth?
