That is hard to answer due to the SAME word has 2 meanings.

Jewish is a religion so anyone can "join" not excluded can accept religion n convert. Even not ajew family.

Once a lady joined her family is jewish same term , due to jewish mother, sufficed alone even without religion still jewish the 2nd meaning.

To say "i was born jewish so believe jewish" would conflict that TRADITION of DISTINCTION of 2 meanings both considered valid.

So i assume you will find here 2% family jew like 2% in u. s. maybe you will find a few keyboard warriors here to defend the jew faith, but few.
