Why are minorities over represented in Christianity?

I would predict: due to 20% of Americans are latino therefore 20% of whatever total protestant would be?

I would predict 9% of Americans are African Americans therefore 9% of whatever totals catholic and protestant would be?

Yet stats show FAR more: 1/3 of catholics are hispanic, 33%, far more than 1/5= 20%?

Similarly 1/6 of protestant around 16% are black, (included in 1/4, 25% of protestant colored, besides 1/10 hispanic protestant) far more than 9% in U. S. population? Why?

Obviously, churches are "actually less racist against minorities" than the so called "white supremecists Christian" has been accused, but why so many more than proportions?
