I find it strange when somebody who appears to be highly religious is still doing things that people in the world do like go to the movies, pay for movie videos, attend secular concerts, and dine out at restaurants. I once left a religious group I was part of, in part, because I thought their lifestyle was too common and standard.
The bible says you eat your bread by the sweat of your brow, so if you work a very hard job, you deserve to be rewarded with a cut of salmon or some luxury foods at a vegetable restaurant. But when somebody always buys things they do not need, and don't work that hard for it, I believe it leads to misery and depression.
If you want to know why I posted this after my 7 parties in the last 20 days:
The reason I had all these parties is that it was my birthday month, and I had been saving up money for months. I do not usually party that much because I am watching my weight and I believe too many indulgences are bad for your personality and your mental health.
