Who bears the cost of anything now related to houses of worship?

Government, state or local law enforcement should only be allocated if there is a genuine threat. Yes Catholic churches have seen increased attacks but there are a lot of them and too many too secure.

This latest guy couldn't get in. He shot everyone through broken windows from the outside. So what they did was great to protect kids. They just didn't know they needed bullet proof stained glass..

There is a sickness in the world that seems most prevelant in America where people for whatever reason maybe angry at the world want to hurt, wound and murder as many people as possible. I fear this attack will actually do nothing but encourage others to do the same.

The houses of worship themselves. They are already tax exempt. There is no reason for tax payers to pay for security at houses of worship that they don't attend.

The churches themselves. Private schools charge tuition to attend. people will just have to pay a little more to have better security.

A deputy sheriff comes as security at our church. There used to never be a concern or need for one until these politicized mass murderers started hitting churches the past 6 years or so.

I am not privy to that but I can ask the pastor. They come in an official capacity wearing the uniform. I would imagine it's a normal thing to protect and serve the tax-exempt as well as the taxed. If a crime occurs at a church do not the police respond?

Oh, and I'm pretty sure all the churchgoers pay taxes on everything in their everyday lives.

The church i attend has a quite a number of LEO members and like most Catholic parishes there's rarely a shortage of volunteers to help the church. You often see them in uniform or in their Sunday clothes when they are off duty and they are usually at the back of the chapel.
