I believe that when you plot evil against others, God might weaken you to stop you from harming them.

And if you plan good for others, God might make you stronger so you will have the ability to do God's commandments, without becoming bogged down by self-contradiction.

Some people are weak because they like to curse or punish or judge or exclude or compare themselves to people with different backgrounds and experiences than them.

Some people are strong because they used their abilities to serve those who are needy, and they did their acts of service for God and not for social recognition.

Yes, I’ve seen it — not necessarily in the dramatic, biblical sense of lightning bolts or divine punishments, but in the quieter, more human ways life seems to balance itself. When someone plots harm or acts out of jealousy, cruelty, or deceit, it may look like they’re “winning” for a while. They might gain influence, power, or material rewards, but something deeper always starts to fade — their peace, their stability, their relationships, or even their health. Eventually, that darkness they project onto others turns inward. God doesn’t have to strike them down; He simply allows the truth to catch up with them. Their own intentions become their undoing.

On the other hand, I’ve seen people who go through unimaginable trials but still choose to do good — to be kind, fair, patient, and honest. They often grow stronger in ways that can’t be measured by success or recognition. Their faith deepens, their spirit hardens against bitterness, and they develop a sense of calm that others can feel. It’s as if God places a quiet shield around them, not to spare them from pain, but to keep their light from being extinguished by it. Their strength comes from walking through hardship with integrity intact.

So yes — I believe God weakens those who plot evil, not always by force but through consequence, and He strengthens those who plan good, not always through miracles but through resilience. Evil might appear powerful for a season, but it burns itself out. Goodness, even when tested, endures. God’s justice isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s the stillness that follows when everything false collapses under its own weight, and everything true continues to stand.
