Does it make sense that for life to be meaningful, that there must exist a higher afterlife, after this life has been lived? Much like the cycle?

Like people know the cycle of life.

You're born

You're raised

You know and you live and you enjoy (and for some, they choose to multiple aka have offspring, whether in marriage or wedlock or become another divorcee)

And then, like almost all folks, you end up the in the old folks home. 🏠

Surely life is given more meaningful meaning by assuming or wishfully thinking "there must be an active deity and an afterlife" in the next life 🌌🌌🌌 just look at all that space out there 🌌🌌🌌 outside Earth ; all around earth -

But what's is the meaning of this life if there's a heaven for an example? Is it just a test to get to a even better life? But why am I building all these relationships etc if they're not going to mean anything in the end, in the eternity that's coming and not being sure if my loved ones are comming as well.
And I can't fully wrap my head around being reborn and the concept of a soul. I think me as a person, what people might call a soul, mainly consists out of my upbringing and my experiences. I don't think there will be much left if I get reborn in a family in Japan in about 60 years. I don't think I would be a vegetarian in that life, while it's a core value in this life. And I maybe will be an ipad kid instead of an artist like I am now. I might even be very homophobic in the next life if I get born in a very homophobic houshold while I'm very LGBTQIA at the moment 😂 I don't know what would be left of me in another lifetime.

But I can't deny the existence of there beinge more to life, but I can't make myself believe in anything. I can imagine it can give some people a sense of meaning in life. I do really like to think and talk about these things. I also love series, documentaries etc about aliens because I do like conspiracies. I know it's different to your question, but this fits in the there must be more, look at how big the universe is, theme. But nothing is convincing enough.

I believe is just nothingness when I die. And I understand that that might scare people.
But I find nothing peacefull in a way.

But that’s not the pattern for all human life is it , what about the foetus that’s never birthed? Or those that don’t survive more than a day or a year.


A deity or the belief of an afterlife may give meaning to those how follow or worship because of the obvious hopelessness sorroundung the prospect of an infinite void of nothingness and the consideration that there is may actually be nothing. That’s the faith they need to understand they’re existence


I believe that we don’t have the capacity to understand these things and never will and would much rather believe in nothing so that I may make the most of living whatever comes after doesn’t matter , I live in the NOW
