Do you believe that there is a life after death?

I’m going with Evidence:
—You, me, world, and all the other complexities, such as Science, are around me. None of it was self-conceived, self-created, or self-started according to Physics, therefore, there’s an Intelligent Designer. The Creator who made man with Being (soul, mind, body) and this world etc can certainly create depositors for those who are In Christ Jesus (Heaven) as well as for those who are NOT In Christ Jesus (HELL).
—So given we can visually see 👀 heaven then we know Heaven Is:
-God’s Dwelling place (Psalm 33:13).
-Where Christ is today (Acts1:11).
-Where Christians go when they die (Philippians 1:21-23).
-The Father’s house (John 14:1-3).
-City designed by God (Hebrews11:10).
-a better country (Hebrews 11:16).
-Paradise (Luke 23:43). where Lord Jesus ascended too and rests Acts1:9-11) with angels, and other glorified souls that I know and will recognize too.
BUT Angels scare me…and who wants to clue jump with harp… and dude Halos are stretch even for me to pull off. So well, I’m not Democrat and I’m pretty sure God isn’t either (Abortion)…SO I know I will not be sitting around but WHAT is my Schedule please ❓
Five Items on Agenda While In Heaven:
1. Worship without distraction.
2. Fellowship without fear 3. Learn without fatigue 4. Serve without exhaustion 5. Rest without boredom. Everyone utilizing their Gifts, given unto image bearers by God, that were exercised here on Earth. Doing what I’m good at plus 1-5…
Ticket 🎟 Price: “John 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” and “I am the door; if anyone enters through Me shall be saved (John10:9)
Wiersbe: describes Heaven as reconstituted Jerusalem as it is rebuilt (Zechariah 81-6) in holiness and truth where Jesus will set up His kingdom (Isaiah 1:26;2:3;60:14;62:12). It is described as so safe that the elderly can sit on street sides and talk and kids can play in streets without danger…a Kingdom without Sin and Fallenness.
Hell (Sheol-OT/Gehenna-NT):was Jesus’ most mentioned Bible topic and can be described as punishment zone or fiery corner where those who are at enmity with God, reside. It is overseen by Lord Jesus and is the expression of Wrath (Romans1:18-32) for those who refused Jesus as Savior and Lord.
—like heaven man’s soul, mind, and body will be glorified, however, without righteousness, therefore, residents will know purely the full Wrath of God’s Judgment.-OUCH!!! All the wicked, depraved, reprobates, and Satan and his crew of demons reside there after Final Judgment and resurrection from Hades (Matthew25:41).
BE AND FEEL LIKE:
—Punishment of eternal fire (Jude 7)
—Lake of Fire (Revelation19:29;20:14-15)
—Fire, burning sulfur, and fiery furnace (Genesis19:24-25).
—Weeping and Gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:50;24:51;25:30)
—-Rich man and Lazarus (Luke16:14-31: Lazarus, whose sores were licked by dogs, ate scraps from the Rich Man’s table. Lazarus died and was carried to bosom of Father Abraham. So Rich Man, eternally separated from God, can see Father Abraham and Lazarus and pleas,”have pity on me and Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire (Luke 16:24).
yes, I think there is something else in store.
I listen sometimes to this Indian man on YouTube named Sadhguru. I am Catholic, but the Hindu religion is very interesting. They believe in the basis of time and quality of life, but also God. This man says we all will die, leave our bodies, and our souls will unite with God. We will have a rebirth and come back to Earth. It sounds logical. That man has a lot of wise stuff to sat actually.
Boy, these click bait questions on God are getting tiresome. If you don't believe then shut up and stop making threads about it. Let people believe what they want but no need for you to start arguments about it.
Sure you may be right that it is a sensitive topic. I actually thought perhaps not to differ any opinion but it is what it is. Sometimes it's not the right answer we seek but instead the right question
I respect all opinions even hostile ones as we aren't born equal. It doesn't bother me though
The thing is that every time these questions get asked it just evolves into arguments between atheists and Christians. And I think half of these questions are just to elicit such a response.
True. I could disavow this question when it gets to an altercation. But thanks for reminding me though 😊

I would say God is still creating us and everything else, so we're not on our own. Creation is a very wonderful idea. Nobody can understand how God created things. We have never experienced such thing at all. We human beings do not create tools!! We just put together individual parts, that's why these tools do not depend on us for their sustenance. If we die, the car we manufactured does not die!! This is completely different from how God created things in the first place, God did not create things by putting together something, because there was only God, nothing else. He bestowed existence from novelty!! And because he is bestowing existence rather than putting things together, the sustenance of everything is based on him. If he stops bestowing existence in just a moment, everything will be non-existant!! So we can't say we're on our own. We are still being bestowed existence by him!!
I had a near death experience when I was younger... I was choking while I was asleep.. I was like half conscious.. I didn't see anything it was all black but I heard some sounds.. Not evil or relaxing sounds.. Just sounds.. And the more I kept fighting for my breath the sounds got louder.. Until I almost couldn't breathe at all and then I heard a thinking voice in my head saying " shall we go? " and I got so terrified and I was thinking NO then in the next few seconds I'm awake gasping for air and everything is gone... I still can't process what happened
I passed out once from lack of blood flow to the brain I remember being in a ‘grey’ dreamlike state and hearing sounds. When I woke up I couldn’t remember what the sounds where though I was firstly glad I was alive because I thought I was going to die and secondly I remember seeing my life flashing before my eyes almost like a dream you’re experience seems very similar I was also terrified and couldn’t process it I couldn’t believe I was awake. The maddest part was though my brother (thank god he was with me because I probably wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t) said I was only unconscious for 30 seconds to a minute but it felt like at least 10 minutes
I'm now convinced it's the end. I used to have a really strong interest in NDE's (near-death experiences), and at times would wonder a lot about it, but I've come to the conclusion that it can't be real.
I've had a near death experience... but that lasted very short... so I couldn't witness everything... it gave me the notion that there DEFINETELY was going to happen more
it was when I got vaccinated for the last time (3rd). It was the middle of the when I had to go to the restroom... I felt extremely feverish and I couldnt feel half of my body... went to the restroom... and then I lost my consciousness. I was like: "This is it..." Now I couldnt feel my body.
I lost the touch with the reality like where I actually am and what happened before... it felt like as if my eyes were still open
Everything was pitch black and in the center I could see a huge white circle with a black dot. At that moment, all my fever and pain was gone and I was merely feeling relaxed... very calm and relaxed.
So the white circle was beginning to change... and it was like something was about to happen but then I felt conscious again... slowly began to feel everything etc.
I know it exists, I had a near death experience and I did not want to come back.
Interesting. You should consider doing a Take on that.
@EnglishEuropean Already sort of did, it was part of mytake on my attack and attempted murder.
I wish I could MHO your comment. This is incredible. There were so many that I overlooked yours.
I hope you are doing finw
If their is I'm going to march right up the middle of that fork in the road. My version of the best after life would be being completely untethered. Being able to explore everything endlessly and gain as much knowledge about everything I can. I'd spend my afterlife becoming as close to all knowing as I can. Also a place like Valhalla is preferable to how heaven is predicted. So that would be my preferred second option.
Something. Energy can’t be destroyed so we all will continue to exist in at least that form. To what extent intelligence is attached will interesting to find out.
Sadly, no. I would like to believe it but can't allow my desire to believe it to be a factor. And so i realized the desire to believe it is the only evidence for it.
Yup. Energy can't die. Our bodies are just vessels for our souls to be able to easily interact with this tangible world.
I don’t really believe in life after death unless it’s super general like “my body returns it’s nutrients to the earth and shit’ll eat me and flop around after I’m gone”. But I don’t believe you die and then wake up in a new place or something
Well bigger odds for that then that there is a heaven or hell that awaits you. But my conclusion is that it's irrelevant in this life.
No evidence, just a story that some find comforting.
No, I don't.
It was something just made up by organised religion to maintain their control over the masses, which was the sole purpose religion was created - control.
I dont think their is life after death. If there is then Im going to hell anyway.
no. i believe even thinking that is very detrimental. cause why waste your money in preparation for a thing that never comes?
Who knows really? Doesn't really matter what we believe. They shouldn't affect the way we live. We should be descent people either way
I have been on deaths doorstep 3 times & no one answered. So I believe the is no afterlife.
That's a paradox. Death is by definition the absence of life.
Have a feeling there will be more gals then guys up there based on the answers.
It exist, but not for you, for worms that eat your body.
To much pain and suffering in the world for me to believe a god who cares actually exists. I believe when we die we just stay here on earth roaming
