What does ‘Satan’ or ‘the devil’ really mean to you personally?

My idea for satan was, as rabbis taught, like this hilarious episode of tom Jerry in picture

Scary Dog devil said, "Hit him so i can get started " the angel tempting people to sin, and to do harm, but also the one who reported the sin to god, and who gave the punishment with demons! Is that what devil or satan means to you?

It related to the term used by muslim leaders , and iran news companies: America the "big satan" allowing personal choice to sin- by not obeying sharia or islam. Is that what devil or satan means to you?

I think the devil or Satan is meant to demonstrate the part of us that hates ourselves.

The devil was part of the highest order of angles. He was effectively jealous of humans. And his unchecked pride lead him to start a war against God. And let's not forget he STILL IS by nature a part of God. In the same way we all are; if not, more.

I always say to hate anyone is to hate yourself. So eventually I figured maybe that's what the devil really is meant to teach us. About how what looks like self care or indulgence, or even a compass of honor, might actually be your fears and hate taking control over you.

Satan is the antithesis to God. He is a tempter and deceiver whose motivation is to lure people away from God. He doesn’t actually punish people. Neither does God. Hell is the default setting for everyone. Choosing God is supposed to be the only path away from Hell.
Think about it like this, life is a highway. (Now get that song out of your head!) 🤣🤣 If you just stay on the same highway, doing whatever you please serving only yourself, it takes you straight to Hell. But there will be many junctions along the way. Some of them will be God’s paths to Heaven. Some of them will be Satan’s tourist traps. They’re everywhere. They’re fun and it’s terribly difficult to find the right road out. Especially if you ultimately want to end up in Heaven.
