When you love Easter, What good does it bring you?

Growing up, Easter day was a day for eating big meals like Christmas. Those that had cooked to show their joy. Monday, we went for a picnic, mostly, just to party or for those that had kids to show their family to their colleagues. But growing up and being single at 32. I've confirmed there's not much joy in the day like I thought. It being a day a man died in Isreal for his sovereign thoughts in that medieval era. I can't really find a lasting reason to celebrate the day.. though I'm hooked with the idea that celebrations mean an excuse to get drunk and prolly wild- I wish I could change that. So for the girlsaskguys folks are there still people that love Easter not because its a holiday but because it brings a purpose to their lives. Lemme know. Love y'all ✌🏾.

Jesus didn't die in Israel. Israel was long extinct. The region was called Judea and was part of the Roman Empire. Judean religious leaders conspired to have Jesus killed.

Easter brings back memories of family and childhood. Kids got Easter baskets. Parents, grandparents and relatives got together for family feasts. We watched the Easter parade and other stuff on TV.

When I was grown, my mom, dad and sister would go out for Easter brunch.

It doesn't mean much to me anymore, but my wife and I usually go out for brunch. This year, we went to an Indian buffet.

I still like Easter candy - jelly beans, chocolate eggs with soft fillings, and especially Robbin's Eggs.

Easter isn't about a "man dying" It's about the son of God giving his life to absolve us of sins, and further more he rose from the dead to explain how His followers can have everlasting life.

In greek methodology we knew of sons of gods that were also living in perpetuity and it wasn't so new to the people of jerusalem. For the sins I think thats why we have the police and courts- we'd just call them crimes now. For he being raised from the dead- Aaa'n I'd beg to differ its not possible, and we definitely won't be having everlasting life either. I do believe (scientifically) people can and should be created again, to continue the lifes they living, its just who will come first, since we've had billions of people living and all the land except for the zoos have been owned already. 😏.

Its about family. I am not the most religious and am spiritual. I had fun hunting for Easter eggs with my brother and our cousins and eating with our family. I am 26 and female, I am engaged. My brother is married and has three girls with my sister in law. I love being with my niece's and seeing them enjoying life and the holiday. My joy is sharing it with my fiancé and my family for a new generation.
