In the Bible, can breakthrough seasons first appear like total defeat?

In the Bible, Pharaohs army was closing in on Israel and they were trapped by the sea water on the opposite end of Pharaoh, which meant they had no foreseeable or visible way out of the situation, but God performed a miracle to deliver them out of the will of Pharaoh by turning the water in the sea into a wall of water on their left and right so that they could walk through on dry land.

In the Bible, the people were trying to force Jesus to become king by force, but he performed a miracle to make himself invisible to the world so he was able to walk through the crowd unnoticed and with nobody forcing him on a throne against his will.

And in the bible, Herod tried to kill Jesus by sending people to kill every male baby in his birth region of the world, but Jesus escaped the murder of Jewish boys by being warned in a dream about the murder before it occurred, so that him and his family were able to escape through an alternative route to Egypt before the killings began.
