Without looking them up, do you know who the Gospel writers are? There are four of them.

Of course. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
What few people know is that none of them were apostles or ever met Jesus.
Most modern scholars believe Mark was written first around A. D. 70, followed by Matthew and Luke (c. 80–90), and finally John (c. 90–110).
Yet the gospels give the impression that they were eye witnesses and even heard dialogue.
Personally, I like the gospel of Thomas.
„Jesus said, 'I am the light that is over all things. I am all: from me all came forth, and to me all attained. Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there.'"
Matthew Mark Luke and John, but there are other Gospels that didn’t make it into the Bible, including one allegedly by Judas that is almost certainly a second century fake
Yes, I'm not religious but even I know that. Surely there can't be many people in Christian countries that can't name them (M, M, L, J)

it's been re-writen so many times... that nobody actually knows exactly how many times...
No one knows. They weren't alive when Jesus supposedly was, and their stories are contradictory.
A bunch of cave men with poor lighting who could only TRY to copy down what they thought they saw in front of them.
Oh only 4? Thank you. In that case, Matthew, Mark, Lucas and Johnathan
Yeah, a bunch of roadside tent show carpetbaggers trying to sell you salvation
No one really knows who made up those stories. Most likely by committee though.
So i guess you are equally skeptical if Euclid really wrote the math books claimed to be by euclid?
@strateguy632 Depends on which Euclid is being referenced and that it is also accepted that some of Euclid's work was actually done by others previously in history.
Not God, obviously. Not even Jesus. Not even people who knew Jesus personally or ever met him.
We do know by traditional which book was by Mathew who DID personally met jesus as he wrote. Also book gospel john wrote 'i saw this".
But instead of faith in book you have BLIND faith in the PEOPLE who said it was written 100 years later, but did those PEOPLE see when it was written?
@strateguy632 when I read passages in the 4 books that don't agree with each other, I lose faith in those books.
Moreover, if they are words written by a human, it is not God speaking to me. I don't want to follow a human's stories.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
John, Luke, Mark and Matthew.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
My fav is John of Patmos.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Not personally 🤔🤭
It was written by elders of sea scrolls
Nope. Dead sea scrolls were a different faith with different books.
@strateguy632 nope. Abrahamic religions were all derived from previous polytheistic religions
🙄 ..
I'm not joking. That's like asking can you name the four seasons. It's basic stuff you'd expect even a child to know. It doesn't matter if you're religious or not, if you live in a Christian area you're going to be exposed to this kind of thing.
