Why is Moses spelled with two s’s in English, when translating languages that have only ONE s?

Not sure. Hebrew is Moishe (I think). Not sure how that came out to be Moses.

It’s probably the English translation of Moishe. I don’t think anyone cares enough to lie about it. Why does it upset you so much?

Because in translate names stay the same, no matter which country. Adam and eve are not translated: Debbie and lois!

No, but like James is Jacob and in Hebrew Jacob is Yakov. Just like Jesus’s name is Yeshua in Hebrew.

jesu has one s in greek too. the letters are same in jesus and jakob in both languages, so moses should not add s.
you self contradicted. if jacob translated yakov then not james.
in fact greek in book james wrote yakov. the king JAMES version changed to jame for the king to feel good.
