Do you think women should be allowed to hold positions in religious authority if they choose to?

This week the Southern Baptist Convention voted almost unanimous to ban women from becoming pastors. I have seen women in pastoring at Methodist churches. What do the Southern Baptists have against women? Why can't they see that their "God" according to scripture made man and woman in his image? This is making me rethink my Christianity myself as I feel more anti religion.
