Are we becoming too desensitized to recognize deception today?

History has shown that civilizations rarely collapse because they lack information. They collapse because they stop questioning what they're told.

Whether you're Muslim or not, deception, manipulation, and the normalization of falsehood seem more common than ever. Some believe these are signs associated with the coming of the Dajjal, while others completely disagree.

I'm not asking for blind belief. I'm asking a simple question: Do you think people today are becoming less capable of recognizing deception? Why or why not? Let's keep the discussion respectful and based on reasoning rather than insults.

Everyone is free to believe what they choose. I'm only leaving you with this warning: if a day comes when someone stands before humanity and says, "I am God," don't believe him. I don't want to be held accountable for staying silent when I had the chance to warn others.

People were always gullible and easily manipulated.

Look at religions.

Look at how successfully advertisements work.

Politicians posture and talk bullshit in order to gain popularity but they are two faced.

Mainstream media (broadcast and print) gives certain information, hides other information, spins facts, uses biased language, and manipulates people's perceptions and beliefs.

People believe what they are told, especially if everyone else seems to believe the same thing. The only way out is through access to counter information. But it's tough when counter information is suppressed or mocked.

At one time, the internet was a valuable resource. People could get information from top researchers and independent journalists around the world. But the powers that be wanted to control the narrative. Informed citizens were a threat to their agendas. So they started blocking, censoring, de-funding, de-platforming, mocking, slandering, threatening and punishing those who spoke out. Even search engines have been captured.

The powers that be even began circulating a multitude of their own "conspiracy theories" and supporting controlled opposition in order to muddy the waters and confuse people. When people become confused, they quit seeking the truth because they think that truth does not exist. And that makes them either apathetic or more easy to manipulate through 24/7 broadcasting of one narrative and the appearance of consensus.

People can only operate from the foundation of their own lived experiences, biases, and the information they have gathered. The more inexperienced and uninformed they are, the more easily they can be manipulated. That has always been the case.

You're welcome. To be honest, I agree with most of what you said. That's why I've always believed that an intelligent person doesn't immediately reject or accept an idea. They question it, examine it from different angles, and only then arrive at a conclusion. Blind acceptance and blind rejection are two sides of the same coin.

The sad part is is just about everything on the internet needs to be questioned because most of it is a big lie the ones that control the planet are the ones that also control the internet and give us our information and it's to keep us confused so they can keep doing what they're doing I know I'm only one person but one day I will boycott the internet

The truth of what has happened in the past are coming out faster and faster the ones that have hid the information from us all have an agenda so their counter-attacking

It's like people are finding out more and more and believing more and more about big Pharma and their medicines they're not here to help they're here to promote sickness and unhealthy people

There are good people out there that come up with natural cures and a big Pharma is coming up with their own natural cures that are fake to keep you sick blah blah blah it's all about greed and control our president shows us that we just have to become smart enough to unite become one and understand what's really going on and not allow it to happen otherwise we will become extinct too one day

Societies collapse and power structures are wobbling because people don't believe anything. Even if some people allow deception it's just because it serves their interest, deep inside they know it's BS.
Under such circumstances is difficult to create enough peer pressure and every propaganda narrative becomes a joke. Even Jews who are masters in lies and deception of the "goy cattle" aren't capable to hide their genocide on Palestinians anymore.
Warsaw Pact and European communism collapsed because lack of belief in the system. Every person looked at communist party apparatchiks when they told how "socialism" is superior over spoiled capitalism with a smirk on their face. Similar smirk when someone tells a 15 yo. child fairy tale of Christmas Man or Christ Child. While their brother who lived in West German came with a brand new Ford Escort and spend hundred of West German Marks for few days holidays.
Internet and information transfer makes propaganda mostly ineffective, that's why elites hate free and anonymous internet. Social media age access restriction are just first step. Believe me that.

Civilisations collapse because of natural disasters, conquest, war, global shifts in markets and power, there's usually a combination of factors at play. What the average citizen believes has little bearing because they had little power. Even if our ancestors knew they were being deceived speaking out was practically a death sentence.
